These advent calendars are nicely challenging and sometimes not that easy to solve. A good fun game to countdown the days until Christmas. The parts and pieces of the game are solid and of high quality. Worth a try. Enjoy!

I love getting my 11-year-old son unique advent calendars and this fit the bill. We have played several Exit escape boxes so I kind of knew what to expect from this brand and I was still pleasantly surprised. The storyline and the clues are very clever. Everything included could be a clue. From the box to the instruction booklets. There is one booklet that told the story and one booklet with hints. It’s not easy and I admit that I relied heavily on the hint book but it didn’t diminish the fun. The set also comes with a special decoder ring that you need to solve each riddle in order to find the door for the next game. I thought it was a bit expensive but seeing how well it is made, I believe it is worth the money. It is pretty large but in a good way.

This is our third EXIT advent calendar, and it didn’t disappoint. My kids (11 & 19) have been completing these together each year and this year they were so good the adults didn’t get to help much. We have done at least one other exit game each year and they have really grown in their ability to figure out how to attack each puzzle. It’s fun to see their individual strengths shine. Our visual thinker always shocks us when he sees exactly how we’re supposed to be thinking, while the rest of us were going down the wrong path. I love that this game is able to bring us together for a little bit every night during the advent season, and that my kids are able to appreciate each other. I hope these games continue to be made each year.

This is our 4th advent calendar by Exit, we absolutely love this game come Thankgiving time. We play as many days as we feel like then tuck it away. My kids are now aged 17 and 13. My husband and I have just as much fun trying to figure out the clues

I bought this as an alternative to the candy and sweet advent calendars. I have two teens at home and thought it would be a fun family activity. The clues are well thought out and creative. There were a few days where the daily missions were almost impossible. It discouraged my kids because you really needed the clue book to figure them out. Over all though, most missions were solid and well designed. There were a good variety of missions, so each day you had to think differently. For example one day, you would be counting shapes, the next day, deciphering a code. Once we did the first few, we got the hang of it. For the price, I am not sure I would do one every year, but it was fun to try something different. I definitely think this is for ages 13+.

I love board games, escape rooms, AND advent calendars, so when I get this product every year it’s, well, like Christmas came early. :) This year’s is the fourth one we have played, and was probably my favorite of all! I loved all the movie tie-ins, and most of the puzzles were just the right challenge level to be fun and not too frustrating. If it’s your first one, it may take a bit of time to get the hang of the types of clues you’ll get and what sorts of things you’re expected to do, but there is always the hint book if you feel stuck. I’ll also mention Thames & Kosmos have great customer service; last year I had a problem with our advent calendar having some missing pieces (rendering some puzzles unplayable), and even though I’d bought it on Amazon they fully replaced it for me when I reached out to them. I will buy this product every year for as long as they make them!

It’s so much fun, took a few weeks to get through it but a great social game for the family!! Not too easy in fact quite hard at times. But really remember to keep everything! No price is unused and even later in other puzzles. A great buy.

One of my siblings bought another advent calendar (The Silent Storm) from the company last year and my then-6-year-old absolutely loved it. We decided it should be a yearly tradition and were excited to do this one for 2024! Each day you read a little snippet of the story, then open a door to reveal the puzzle. Depending on the day, puzzles usually took about 2-5 minutes, though a few tricky ones took longer. The puzzles are beginner level, so good for most older children, teens, or adults who are not big into puzzles. I had to give my kid clues fairly often, and there is a hint book with three levels of clues for each day, which helps to steer you in the right direction if you're stumped, without making it too simple. There was 1 or 2 where we did end up looking at all three of the hints, as well as one unfortunate time where we misinterpreted a hint and ended up revealing something for a different day, which spoiled the later puzzle. There's no good way to warn which puzzle without a spoiler though. The story for this advent calendar is movie-themed, with tons of fun references and puzzles related to lots of classic movies. Overall, great experience and highly recommended!

I've bought one of these Exit Advent Calendars every Christmas for the last few years and they never disappoint. They're great value for money and make the countdown to Christmas much more exciting than a traditional advent calendar. The puzzles are clever, engaging, and each calendar tells its own story that unfolds throughout December. There's always a good mix of challenges, and it's something I genuinely look forward to every year. It's worth noting that these are designed as a one time play experience. Many of the puzzles require you to cut, fold, write on, or otherwise alter components, and sometimes even the box itself, so it's not something that can be reset and played again. That said, for the amount of entertainment you get throughout the month, I think they're excellent value for money. It's become a Christmas tradition for me, and I'll definitely be picking up another one this year.

Incroyable calendrier de l’avent d’énigmes ! Attention il est en anglais. Parfois certaines énigmes ont nécessité de regarder les indices, mais au global c’est une folle expérience, on sent qu’il y a énormément de travail derrière ! Je conseille fortement

Vamos en el día 9 y ha Sido mejor de lo esperado, los acertijos verdaderamente desafiantes y entretenidos todo bien armado, como dato es importante leer el contenido día por día porque los accesorios se pueden mover dentro de la caja y terminar en el día equivocado, nada que no se pueda resolver. Nos encanta como el juego incluye todo el empaque. Sin duda volveremos a comprar otra versión.

Arrived damaged and cards inside various doors contents got mixed around meaning you had to open all the doors to find cards required for each puzzle. I’m still missing one card in puzzle 3, after opening all doors so it’s stuck presumably inside the game box - so you’d need to open that to get it out - very disapproving. Will skip that puzzle but with all doors open, moving box now will lead to materials sliding around.
