good torch! the strobe function (alternating high/low rate dazzle) is easy to get to at an emergency but the lock function is kinda useless, makes more sense to click 5 times rather than holding button for 5 seconds to enable lock, no? the led is very bright and more than adequate for any sensible occasion (eg. use floodlights for football stadiums, use palm sized torch for every day use). overall, the unit looks and feels very well constructed although slightly on the heavier side for a tiny unit. on the unit i received the id number is missing on the battery cap but everything feels genuine (idk maybe newer units don't have numbers). anyway, at £18 it makes this torch not just good - it's SUPERB! tbh with the torch and battery, usb cable, extra o-ring and documentation all jammed inside a small unassuming white box is not the best in presentation but it doesn't make sense to pay £100 for a fat cat brand that i can get the same thing for £18.

The torch is brilliant, tiny but VERY bright, it has three separate brightness modes which enables it to extend its usage.The magnetic bottom is very strong and as long as you have somewhere for it to stick too it will provide sufficient light.The angled head also allows you to hook this on a bag strap if you’re walking in dark areas to light your path.Had an initial issue with my first torch, but the customer service team took less than 24 hours to solve, I highly recommend this product!

Works very well. Certainly waterproof - gone through the washer.Is awkward to keep off and often turns off in my jeans pocket when walking.A great torch that’s very bright and durable.

THE BEST TORCH IVE EVER OWNED.The 90° head and extremely bright beam are invaluable for my job.Edit: had it for a few months now. Still working great, the swivel still strong like new. Does get hot though after prolonged use.

This touch is very small but my word it packs a punch, the main light is extremely bright and then you have the ultraviolet light & the red light as well it’s brilliant.The touch is made out of top quality material, it is very strong, solid & will last for years. The best bit of all it is battery operated & rechargeable so you’ve got the best of both worlds.You will NOT be disappointed when you buy this it’s well worth the money.

I see a lot of reviews saying it stops working after a few months so will have to see. I do notice it makes a high pitched whining sound (only noticeable in a quiet environment or when close to your ear) coming from the torch head when on low and medium brightness but goes quiet on full beam so that seems strange?Better news is that the supplied Lithium battery is 900mah and not 750 as described here and in the instruction leaflet, so the run times should be longer than listed.I find the 100 lumens low beam plenty bright for most uses so that should mean more than the 7 hours run time listed for the 750mah version more likely 8-9 hours.With an AA battery the high mode is only 100 lumens and listed at 4hrs so the lithium battery is much better but an AA is fine if needed. or if you want lower light mode lumen levels.The beam looks much better using the Lithium battery also with not so much green corona surrounding the centre hot spot and it a nice neutral colour temp.Think that's my main points other than I like holding it with the head at 90 degrees and good magnet, lockout etc It's fun setting it on high mode and then switching it off and on again as you do get a surprise at the good brightness it puts out and it does not got hot quickly either so it copes well with the higher lithium battery power.Must remember not submergible waterproof so not to drop it into water but rain or a splash should be fine.Handy to have in or on a backpack or jacket pocket. Just hope it lasts a decent time as in longer than a few months but I have a Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 arriving tomorrow so will have a spare and be interesting to see how that compares as very similar spec but yes at present liking this Nicron B74 quite well.Edit added: Got the Lumintop and it heats up very quickly using the lithium battery on high setting and it's a much cooler light. I prefer the Nicron warmer light. The Lumintop is a little smaller but I prefer the Nicron for my larger male hands and I prefer the Nicron side button (which clicks very nicely) over the Lumintop tail switch. Would have liked a quick double click to switch on the Nicron rather than holding the button but it does switch on fairly fast. The Lumintop does work well with an AA battery but with lower power so I will probably use it like that. Anyhow I have now ordered another of these Nicron to have a spare B74 as this is my favourite though I also bought a Sofirn IF25A and that is a great torch for some much greater brightness and can highly recommend that one also though it's twice the price for the Nicron but you definitely get twice the brightness. I like all 3 of these torches.

When this came in the small box I thought what have I bought here? It’s about an inch and a half bigger than a clipper lighter and a about the same width.the battery came with no charge,so I gave it a good charge while I went for a pint or two.came back battery fully charged put it back in and switched it on.this little torch is as good as any big torch it’s impressive.it has three brightness levels it has a wide radius for a small torch. And feels solid, it’s mint

Habe diese Lampe zufällig bei einem Freund in der Hand gehabt und war von der Helligkeit dieser sehr kleinen Lampe dermaßen überrascht, dass ich mir sofort eine bestellt habe. Hab sie sehr oft im Einsatz. Akku hält sehr lange durch auch im hellsten Modus. Geniales Teil!

Ich habe noch nach einer handlichen Allround-Haushaltstaschenlampe gesucht die ich flexibel und spontan, für möglichst viele Gelegenheiten und Situationen, schnell zur Hand habe u.a. nächtliches Outdoor, Keller, Tiefgarage, Reparatur - eben überall wo es, im kleinen oder großen, dunkel wird und spontan eine Erhellung braucht...Die kleine Pocket Taschenlampe hält man auch etwas anders, da die kleine Lichtquelle im rechten Winkel zum Griff abstrahlt, grobmotorisch irgendwie so wie eine Axt, mit geballter Faust den Grifffest umschlungen mit einem rechtwinkeligen Lichtauswurf. Kompakter und fester kann man eine mobile Lichtquelle eigentlich garnicht mehr halten, finde ich...Irgendwie gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber das Design hat auch den Sinn möglichst flexibel und irgendwie "elastisch" auch einen erhellten Blick an eher unzugänglichen und versteckten Winkeln zu bekommen., besonders bei Reparaturen u.ä..Es sind 4 Beleuchtungsmodi enthalten, die in Doppelbelegung mit einem Taster ausgewählt werden:150 Lumen - 60 Lumen - Strobo - SOSDie wichtigsten "Lichtmuster" die im unberechenbaren Alltag, Outdoor oder Indoor, wichtig werden können.Die Taschenlampe ist handlich, hat im Verhältnis dazu, ein gewisses Eigengewicht um das handling bzw. den händischen Lichtstrahl konstant und berechenbar auszurichten, grob,- wie auch feinmotorisch, in großen oder kleinen Winkeln.Der Magnet am Ende des Griffs ist stark und hält dieses Pocketlampe bzw. den Lichteinwurf, bei geeigneter Oberfläche, rutschfest und zuverlässig, eben auch für Reparaturen wichtig und überall dort wo es notwendig ist 2 freie Hände zu haben mit zusätzlicher Lichtquelle.Alles in allem eine Taschenlampe eine sehr kompakte Taschenlampe im Tactical-Pen-Format.Die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten sind vielseitig und so manche Möglichkeit ergibt sich vielleicht erst spontan aus einer Situation oder Gegebenheit heraus. Für z.B. Handwerker oder Logistiker die spontan eine Lichtquelle im Taschenformat benötigen schon ziemlich wichtig und hilfreich.Für mich und meine Zwecke ist es eine sehr gut ausgestattete Taschenlampe die in seiner Konstruktion weitaus mehr ist als eine übliche Haushaltstaschenlampe.Der Preis ist angemessen obwohl sie äußerlich doch eher unscheinbar und kaum bemerkbar ist, aber genau dies macht diese Taschenlampe eben auch zu einem leistungsstarken "Miniatur-Tactical-Pen":"powerfull, safe & capable" würd ich meinen...Vielen Dank, ich hab jetzt was schönes in meiner Westentasche
