I wanted pitcher that was substantial both in size and in strength. This pitcher delivered on both. It is thick glass with a thick glass bottom. It's a nice size. Just what I needed. It's somewhat heavy, but understandable because it's solid.

The pitchers are very nice and look quite handsome. I didn't give 5 stars because in the description they are described as hand-blown in Mexico. As other reviewers have pointed out, there are two seams in each pitcher. It is not usual for hand-blown glass to have seams. Other than that, they are very nice, sturdy and at a very affordable price. If they had not been described as hand-blown I would have given them five stars.

So most negative reviews of glass hot/cold glass liquid pitchers are the glass is too thin & flimsy, they crack, the handles breaks off, etc.... So, here we have a very thick glass liquid pitcher, that is very sturdy, holds very hot & cold liquids without cracking or breaking, & is easy to clean, & what do people complain about? It's TOO thick & heavy. SMH!!! Yes, it is a heavy liquid pitcher, & maybe people that are petite & frail may have difficulty lifting & carrying the container, so I would recommend they buy lighter PCB free plastic liquid containers. But for people that have no issues with owning a thick, sturdy, & heavier glass container for hot & cold liquids, this is perfect to purchase.

I just received these two beautiful pitchers and the moment I lifted each one out of their very protective packaging I was amazed. They are heavy & yes a seam is down the center under the spout but who cares, it’s hardly noticeable. The quality of the weight & glass is what matters most to me. There are no glass bubbles as with cheaper glass wear, they are heavy but not too heavy and big enough to hold 11 cups of liquid. (I measured) Of course if you add fruit to your pitcher then less liquid would fit but then that’s the awesome benefit of having two! The price, quality & capacity make these two pitchers well worth purchasing. I am so happy I did. So everyone, do not hesitate.

Heavy, well made, can put hot water (if making iced tea) without having to worry about cracks. Thick glass all around including the handle. Easy to wash. Can go in the dishwasher also. Shipping was super fast also.
