Randomly chose this red light therapy product. I liked that the pad was bendable, and it has a Velcro elastic band, to secure the pad to any area of the body. Plus, the price seemed reasonable to me. This winter (2022-2023) I developed pain and inflammation in both knees, and needed something else to help me, rather than just a physio once a week, as I could not crouch or stand up afterward without a large amount of pain. Once I got the pad, I used it daily, twice a day, for 30 minutes each time, at P4 (strongest light) level. I could feel the improvement in my knees daily, as well. I am at a point where I use it for maintenance only, as my knees do not ache anymore! It also proved to be helpful for my mother's right shoulder pain, when visiting her this summer. I had the pad wrapped around her shoulder every evening before going to sleep, and by the 7th day, she could do her arm rotations without any pain! One more thing both of us had noticed - it relaxes, so you sleep really well. Every time, someone tells me they have some kind of joint pain, I recommend red light, as I'm super happy with the effect.

Stopped working. It was working intermittently for the past 6 months then finally died. I tried to reach the manufacturer with no luck. I had it about 1 year when problems started; used it 2-3X a week.

I loved this product and rated it 5 stars when I got it few months ago, and it cured my tendinitis. so I decided to buy as a gift and got the XL … clicked on the same product I bought (from purchase history) only to find out it’s not the same. In the XL, you only have one option of mixed red light and infra red. Many times I don’t want infra red and only want red but can’t go that … the small pad has them separate and together. ..They should clearly mention that in the description. also there is a problem with the size they are showing … I got the XL size this time and the picture is very deceiving showing a women laying on a pad. That women is TINY 😅 … The size is much much smaller than what’s shown on the picture! They need to correct that!!! Original review: It works! I pulled a muscle because I lifted heavy furniture and this healed it After 2 sessions of red light 20 mn each over couple days. Not sure what it does but it worked. Normally when I pull back muscle it take a week + to heal … I wish they included lore directions as to what light to use for what overall conditions, duration and frequency.

This particular IR light pad is a reasonable size and strength for a reasonable price. You can use it with just Infrared, with just Red light, or with both. You can have it at 4 levels of strength, you can have it a solid shining light, or a pulsing light. It has an automatic shut off at 30 minutes, or you can set it to shut off at a different number of minutes (it goes up by 5) less than the 30. It is easy to use, I just lay it across wherever I want it. Shoulder, back, knees, hands and fingers or anywhere I need it. It comes with a belt-type thing that you can wrap around like the picture shows, but I didn't find that helpful and don't use it. This is a great buy, you can't go wrong.

I have used this twice and it seems to help the pain in my knee but I have two concerns. 1. It would be nice if the instructions were written in English in a manner that could be understood. It is obvious that the writer is not familiar with English. 2. My biggest concern is the electrical plug gets very hot. I only use the pad on setting 3 and for 25 minutes. I will never leave this plugged in.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’ve been using red light therapy for years. I have EDS, a connective tissue disorder, so I have frequent problems and joint degeneration. Red light therapy has helped tennis elbow, tendonitis, botched surgery healing, and to put off an inevitable knee replacement. RLT has been holding it off for 4 yrs now. If I stop using RLT, my knee will start hurting so much I have to put on a knee brace to be able to walk with more comfort. After a few days of using it, I can walk without the knee brace. I bought this unit recently because I got sick of holding the portable unit that I had and liked that this one is able to just Velcro on a body part. I frequently just put it on my knee, set the timer for 30 minutes when I go to sleep. It shuts off without fail. You can set it in increments of 5 minutes up to 30. It gets slightly warm which feels nice. I recently have started using it on my 16.5 year-old pitbull. She is getting very wobbly on her feet, as well as her back legs are starting to fail her and she falls occasionally. I’m hoping this will slow the progression of her legs failing her. She did seem to get up out of bed a bit easier this morning, but she may just be having a good day. I highly recommend red light therapy to everyone who is having pain. I’ve been using it for my knee for 2-3 months now. And it has helped a lot in dealing with pain. Having said that I’m not sure how much it works in the long run or as a standalone treatment over time. But i suppose the real answer to knee pain etc is physio. This is a great way to supplement it

Its good quality but was not functional. Had to return it as there was no replacement option.
