PORTER-CABLE 20V MAX Cordless Jigsaw, up to 2,500 SPM, Bare Tool Only (PCC650B)

Love this saw. It has become one of my new favorite tools. Lightweight but powerful. Really makes the job a breeze. First project was cutting laminate flooring with it and it worked so well. I loved how it is so portable. Makes it easy to carry around. Very easy to handle. And I like that it has different speed settings.

Should have gotten this years ago. Great addition to my shop tools. Powerful enough for any type of wood. Easy to control.

After having purchased ALL the porter cable 20v MAX lithium tools, and having used them from a range to very demanding, to extremely simple tasks, which involves routinely using them well past their intended run times and overall stress tolerances, I feel I can now make a justified review, based on their performances over the course of roughly a year. The Porter Cable 20V MAX PCC650 Jig saw is an exceptional tool that I have used hundreds of times throughout the course of the time I've owned it. The overall construction of the tool is very exceptional, especially given the price point. The handle is very comfortable like all the Porter Cable 20V MAX tools, it feels very similar to the PCC640 or PCC600 Impact or Drill respectively, except laid down 90 degrees. The Jig saw features a 3 mode Oscillation feature which controls whether the saw cuts very fast but not as clean, medium speed and medium cleanliness, or slow but very clean, all this is subject to the type, and quality of blades you are using of course (uses T shank blades). The angle adjustment is very simple to use, you just loosen the hex head fastener with the included allen wrench (has storage slot on saw) and adjust the angle the way you want. It also has a positive locking slot that allows you to quickly bring the saw back to a 90 degree cut. The trigger (on this and all variable speed tools in the lineup) is the perfect combination of sensitive and responsive. You have the ability to fully press the trigger for max speed, but you can also slightly press it for slow speed operation. I used the Jigsaw in tons of projects, from cutting very thin material, to cutting light gauge steel, to cutting huge cutouts out of homemade counter tops for 20 minutes straight and the saw never once complained. Keeping in mind that the tool is more "constant use" than say a drill or something where you drive the fastener/drill the hole and then stop, it does very well as far as battery life is concerned. In actuality it will seem as if it eats through it, but again that's because its constantly going when you're cutting. I have alleviated this issue by using one of my 4.0 amphr battery packs exclusively in this saw. You can definitely get by, by using a smaller battery, even the smallest 1.2 amphr battery would work fine. All in all the Porter Cable PCC650 20V MAX Jigsaw is a great tool, especially for the money. If you have previously invested in other tools in the lineup, or even if your'e just needing a cordless saw, I would highly recommend this tool. Good jig saw. I have most of the Porter Cable 20v tools and have been very pleased. I would have liked to own Dewalt but they are too expensive and I do not make my living by my tools. We use Dewalt at work and they hold up nicely however these PCs are just as good for the home gamer. I needed a jig saw to make certain cuts while building my daughter's playhouse. I ordered this for $57 and am pleased with it. It worked as expected and using with a new blade it ripped through the cuts on 2x10s with no problem. The blades are easy to change out and theres a hi lo speed switch if you need it. I got a two pack of PC 4 amp/hours larger capacity batteries and what a difference do they make in all the tools. Not so much with the drill and impact driver but with the saws these batteries are a must. I drastically improves the performance of the circular and reciprocating saws. It helps with this saw as well. I would highly recommend getting them if you own the saws or use the drills extensively.

Love all my Porter Cable tools and this Jigsaw is no different. I purchased to use with a home project and it did not disappoint. Cut around edges and cut out the around hole for the perfect fit I was needing. The same people that make Dewalt tools make Porter Cable. I have never had my Porter tools fail me. Very good product at a very good price.

Great tool. Easy change blade is a big plus

Great addition to my Porter Cable tool set. Batteries that I have (which are great by the way) work perfectly with this jig saw. Easy to use, very versatile, love that it can cut at least 4 inch deep wood. The light is helpful in keeping it aligned with my cuts, especially with my aging eyes that sometime struggle in lower light situations. Nice build that looks like it should last for years. Very happy with this purchase and with Porter Cable in general.

Funciona muy bien, el material con el que está hecho se ve de mediana calidad pero al estarlo utilizando funciona muy bien, lo único malo es que como dice en las especificaciones, no cuenta con baterías, pero fuera de eso es muy recomendable, lo he probado en trabajos pesados y ligeros sin ningún problema, muy buena compra y todo llegó bien y sin contratiempos

Pros: -price so cheap for quality -feels great in hand, good rubber grip -lots of power -3 speed -sturdy guide -love no cord -easy change blades -again so cheap for quality Cons: doesn't come with battery. Knew this before I bought. Already had battery.

Muy buena y prctica

I have only used it once but I do like the idea of having a portable (cordless) jigsaw to haul to a spot where it is not convenient to an electrical outlet. It was neat to find out that it does not need a tool to change the blade. Convenient and simple to change blades. It certainly had the power to complete the task for which I used it today. While a bit heavy, I found it easy to operate. It fits in well with my Porter Cable collection of 20 volt tools and batteries.
