The Wait is over…Actually, it’s back! Nearly three decades after going out of print, Metallica will release a remastered version of ‘The $5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited’ on April 13th 2018 as part of their ongoing remasters series. Originally released over 30 years ago on August 21st 1987, the collection features the band covering songs by early Metallica influencers such as Diamond Head, Holocaust, Killing Joke, Budgie, and The Misfits. The five songs from the EP were later included as a part of the 1998 multi-platinum release Garage, Inc., but the band felt it was time to bring it back in the original formats. This marks the first time this specific version is available to UK-based fans as the track “The Wait” was not included on the original version of the EP. Review: Back on the memory lane again... - I think it has always been a special release for me because it is true that I was into Iron Maiden, but I also liked Kill'em All, Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets and when I heard about Cliff's untimely death, I thought they would not be able to carry on. I was still at secondary school and I was talking to a girl who I liked and, who said she could lend me the cassette. I was overjoyed and taped it. The girl and I went to the cinema a few times and we chatted a lot, but we never started going out. Perhaps you remember Phil Lynott singing he always drops chocolate things on his pants.... As for the EP, I loved it and I was glad to hear that Lars, James and Kirk had managed to find Jason and they were as good as earlier. There are Diamond Head, The Misfits and Budgie covers on this EP and you can hear how much the band enjoys playing them. Later I got Garage Inc. as well, but I also wanted to own a copy of the original EP as well. Perhaps because of the memories that I mentioned above I like listening to it again! Enjoy it and play it loud! Review: Great remaster - Only five old songs. But the sound quality is great and the songs r good too.

Tastes like Thrash
These are the sounds that influenced the Young and Mighty Metallica. I stepped off of the time machine and was welcomed by this Intense sonic wall of Metal. I recall being saddened about the Master Cliff Burton passing away, but was elated when I heard that Jason Newsted had taken the flag. THIS IS METAL HISTORY. 30 Plus years later and I still feel something different every time I listen.
