What are the pack sizes? If you buy more than 1 the price is 3 times more?..

It's a shame...the seller replied, but failed to provide rational as to why the 2, 3 and 4 packs are ridiculously more expensive than buying the same quantity via single packs. The seller is totally clueless of the product he/she is selling and I can't support such a seller. I'm buying mine elsewhere.

will this tool work with 18 gauge brad nails?

Yes it will. That is mainly what I use it for but it seems powerful enough to set 16 and 15 gauge nails too.

Will this tool set 2d nails going into red oak?

I used it on white oak but pre drilled holes. Tool is good in tight spaces where you do not want to damage the wood

is this hardened to center punch steel for drilling?

Yes it does center punch steel very easily and with no visible damage to the tip. i just did it several times on the job last week when customizing some barn door hardware.
