Black Eyed Peas are one of my guilty pleasures and I can't help but enjoy their music. From the very first hit single `Where is the Love?' I was hooked. This album is a great place to start with BEP and offers up some real gems. From the aforementioned track, to the infectious `Lets Get Retarded' and that addictive chorus in `Shut Up' this has plenty of songs to get you feet tapping and blood pumping. They are one of the few bands that manage that mixture of rap, dance music and traditional vocals (from Fergie) extremely well and if you enjoy that kind of thing then this is the place to go. I often get some stick from my mates if they catch me listening to this, but they all end up saying things like `Oh I like this one', or singing along! Me thinks they doth protest too much and shows how wide the bands audience is. If you like any of the singles of the band then grab the album as it offers up plenty more of the same. Feel free to check out my blog which can be found on my profile page.

Good.....but not Great.
I purchased this album after hearing their first two releases, Shut Up and Where Is The Love, after liking both. However, after listening to the entire album, I still only like those two songs. The rest of them are a different style, and without the catchy tunes and lyrics. I would purchase this album for the 2 songs alone, but I feel that the Black Eyed Peas will struggle to release another single as successful as their previous ones, and it is a huge disappointment that they haven't managed to capitalise on their popularity generated by Where Is The Love, as a strong album would have. Another bad point is the lack of anything extra on the CD. There is no videos or extra material, and even though the lack of material is commonplace, it is still disappointing. They are a good band, having done a few good songs, but nothing brilliant has been released here, and their fleeting flaunt with success and popularity may just have taken a step backwards.
