Sesame Street Let's Imagine Elmo Toy

...my almost 2 y.o. loves this elmo toy.The crown and hats are hard for him to take off, but he is able to put a new one on by himself. The entire chest/body area is solid, and toy is slightly heavier than I thought, but not really heavy at all. Because of the solid body, elmo sits on table top (even with legs dangling) balanced very well. There is an on/off/trial switch underneath elmo's seat (the fabric velcros), also where the battery is located.Without a headpiece, elmo asks to imagine with him ask for you to place one of the headpieces on his head. He is still interactive without one -- makes noise when nose is squeezed or laugh when belly is ticked. With a headpiece, he is transformed to a prince, pirate or cowboy -- each one teaches child either to play prince elmo says, counting...etc.Overall, it's a great product, and it is fun for toddlers. It is a little loud, and it can occasionally be a little repetative (and annoying), but I like the toy, and my toddler loves his imagine elmo.

I snagged this toy as part of the amazon warehouse open box deals!! WOW!! Where to begin? It was packaged just as it would be in the store!i could hardly tell it had ever been opened and my almost two year old certainly didn't know it had when he opened it on Christmas night!! This Elmo toy is sturdy and well made. Two things that are a must for me to approve!! With toddlers delicate and fragile just will not do. The quality of every aspect of this toy is exceptional. My baby adores Elmo and he was one of the favorite gifts he received this Christmas. I love that he has different hats that you can change and that he has different functions depending on which hat he has on. This is a new spin on a classic favorite. Job well done here amazon. The Elmo comes with there different hats as well as "hat-less" Elmo that each do different activities. The mouth is motorized and moves with Elmo's "speech". A really cool toy that my 2 year old son loves.Note that the toy is center weighted with almost no weight in the arms and legs. It also has a flat bottom which gives the toy an upright posture that allows it to "sit". Those two factors mean that it is not so much a stuffed animal like the elmo's of past but more a mechanical toy.

My 18 month old granddaughter loves Elmo and as soon as we took it out of the box, she walked around hugging the toy. Imagine her surprise when she realized he talked (just like on TV Sesame Street show), giggled and sang. She's still at age where an adult or older child needs to assist her with the hat changes, etc. but it holds her interest. Some reviewers complained about packaging...but ours came in a manufacturer's box making it perfect for gift giving.

I got this for my 2 year old son. It says recommended for ages 2-4, but I feel like the attention span of a 2 year old doesn't work with this toy. You have to listen to Elmo and then complete directions that he gives you. I think it would be more fun for a bit older kid, but 2 seems too young for it. Also, as an adult, I have difficulty getting the hats in and out of Elmo. I really wanted to love this toy because it is cute and my son does like it as a stuffed animal, but out of all of his Christmas presents, he plays with this one the least.

My son loves Elmo (he is a year and a half). At first, he didn't seem to interested in this, but as the weeks went on he quickly began showing an interest and now is understanding the different hats. He does tell me to turn him off sometimes, as well as on. I like that is has this feature. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is when he tells you to count by squeezing his nose, it is pretty difficult to squeeze as an adult. Also, I don't like squeezing his nose, maybe his hand or toe would have been better. Otherwise, it is a cherished toy around here.

Great product! My one year old had to warm up to Elmo (in person). She loved him via the you tube commercials, but her reaction was different in person. She loves playing with the hats on her own head and sometimes Elmo. I believe it will be a toy she grows into over the next few weeks or months. I do not regret purchasing, but in hindsight I probably should have tested her out on the toy in the store before purchasing. Great product overall!

This is the worst toy I've purchased for my 13 month old son. It's super annoying, and has almost zero variation on what is said.If you wish to simply remove the gimmick hates and operate it as an Elmo doll, it will bark orders at you to place a hat on his head.I will likely "forget" this at grandma's house.
