Bought this to eliminate overwatering (you know, Forgetting the sprinkler is on). Solar powered with a built in battery. Was powered and ready to go at setup. Hardest part was running the lines and setting the drip spikes. I feed mine from a 5 gallon bucket right by the solar panel/pump. just keep the bucket or container topped up with water and set the watering interval and forget about it. I am Going to buy a few more.

Instructions are the worst. You basically get a diagram. Mine isn't turning on. Do I need to put the things in the water to get it turned on? Do i need to charge it to get it to work? What's the siphon thing and where does it go. Just wasted roughly 10 minutes watching a bunch of useless videos. One was somewhat useful, but didn't cover the info I need. Not sure I'm going to keep this. I'll try charging it and see of it turns on and try to figure it all out. Not thrilled.

I have several potted plants and hand water those daily. This device has offered me 3-4 hours back spent in watering. My only gripe is the frequency 1x a day or 1x every 3 days. This does give duration options but for those hot summer days it'd be nice to have an option to pump more than once a day. All in all this work wonders, I have run the 1x a day for 10 minutes daily a few times a day by simply cycling through the options until I get where I want - 1x 10 mins. That sure beats dragging 5 gal buckets! I gave 4 stars only due to the fact of the timing options.

Easy to install, runs off solar and a bucket of water so no need to connect to a hose! Keeps my garden beds moist in this zone 9B heat. Has settings so you can set it to go off a set amount of times per day. Keeps my plants happy and healthy!

Interesting new gadget for the garden. It really works. I thought it would be difficult to setup or doesn't work as expected since it looks like dirt will clog up the holes. I'm surprised it didn't and it still works on cloudy days. I'm glad I got this before summer. Now I don't have to remember which day to water the garden or have someone come over and do it while I am on vacation.
