I did not use this tape for painting so I cannot speak to that aspect of use of this product.I used it for crafting and taping together construction paper and other similar materials. Taping them to a wall constructed of painted sheetrock and windows. It was difficult to tear the tape it would tear lengthwise and not across. And when applying it it seemed fine at first however some parts within hours we're just peeling off on their own and all pieces within 48 Hours had just fallen off the wall. When we applied we firmly pushed on the tape in a motion securing against the sheetrock and the glass. However that was all in vain it did nothing to help to adhere it to the sheetrock and glass.Conclusion... The waste of my money and I do not recommend this product in the used as I described.I recommend Scotch blue their product has never failed me for these projects

I have done lots of painting and would never use this tape for that purpose. I got it to temporarily affix absorbent pads under cat litter boxes on a linoelum floor, and for that it was moderately adequate. But the tape is thin, does not tear straight, and will often tear into little shards at the edges when you try to pull the tape from the roll. If you are not easily frustrated and if price is your most important decision point, go for it. If you are doing a paint job or other project you really care about, do yourself a favor and spend more money on a name brand,

Price seemed worth a try. It was pretty sticky, But the two qualities that I disliked are:1. when tearing by hand the tape often split longwise and was a frustration. Using scissors would be fine but that’s not what I do with other brands2. There is an odor that reminds me of turpentine. I really disliked that. I was afraid to use it on a painted surface, although perhaps it would cause no harm. I just wouldn’t try. I did use quite a lot of it on bubble wrap and paper for packing before I gave up.

You wouldn't think that tape would be frustrating, but look no further than STIKK Blue Painters Tape. You can't pull off more than a foot of it before the edge starts to fray and rip down the middle of the roll. I thought it might have been a one-off kind of thing, but here I am half way through an entire case of this stuff, and I have to pull off at least 20 feet from each roll before I don't have to worry about it tearing. So this product should come with a 10% refund and a bottle of ibuprofen to be rated any higher.

Just what I needed for painting. I really do prefer using blue tape for simple paper that needed to be attach to the wall than using regular scotch tape because it works a lot better. Great quality.

Worst painters tape I’ve ever used, tears and runs and drives you nuts. Only good thing I can say is it sticks, although half the time it’s to itself and winds up in a wadded ball.
