best used by, is after January 2018, it is more near the end of 2018

It's actual honey in the jar called honey. If you're a person who likes thick and full flavored honey, you might not like the honey flavor. I feel all the jars weren't as flavorful as other brands of jelly and honey. More bland than fruity. But that was just me.
