An Emotional, Twisted & Unforgettable Read
This book completely shattered me. Just when I thought the story couldn't get any darker, it proved me wrong in every possible way. Kade and Stacey go through unimaginable pain, and my heart broke for them over and over again. This is an intense, emotionally heavy dark romance, so definitely check the trigger warnings. Despite how much it destroyed me, I couldn't stop reading. The ending left me speechless, and I immediately needed the next book.A heartbreaking, addictive, and unforgettable 5-star read.

Dark, trigger heavy
This book has more backstory and plot to the characters which means this is also darker than the first book, the villains are vile af and it's been a long time since I utterly hated a book characters as much as I hate characters if this book

Kade’s voicemail 😭
Do not read this review before reading first book.Remember I said it was too raw & was too overwhelming after I read the first book in series well no it was nothing compared to second book. All the flashbacks he was having while he was knocked out from overdose, you guys might have known Bernadette was injecting stuff in him to assault him by blackmailing him about his family after reading first book, the torture & punishment methods are worst in this, those flashbacks worked as a bandage for me.Those flashbacks were keeping him alive. The punishment were so cruel I cried a lot for Kade.Am so heartbroken about Kade’s voice mail ,Stacey never listened it😭.Finally I had clear explanation about what actually happened with Stacey which just made me tear up a lot again. The way I hate Chris even more now,I hope he rott in hell,he thinks he was protecting her give me a break.ot me falling for Tobias more in every chapter,She missed one visit and he broke out of jail he did not even do that for Aria,he did that for his little one Stacey 😭♥️.I literally loved the bond between Tobias and Stacey, she couldn’t answer Kade about everything with her just met Tobias once & she blurted out a little truth about what she went through.Tobias is such a goofball 😭.What was that cliffhanger,I need to read third book asap🤧.

emotionally wrecked
I'M SO UNWELL !! I read it one sitting. I never been so traumatized and depressed reading a book. It was so so sad and disturbing. It was so dark and made me sick to the stomach. Even thinking about what KadeStacey went through make me want to throw up and hug those two for days at the same time.My thoughts are all over the place. I don't know what to say, I'm just sad.I really want to see Chris getting back what he deserves for putting through KadeStacey to hell. He is a monster. It should be Chris locked down not Tobias.

Definitely not worth the time.
I honestly wish I could give this book zero stars. As readers, we often turn to stories for strength, courage, and a sense of escape , especially when real life feels unfair. We look for characters who fight back, grow, and inspire. Sadly, this book gave me none of that. Both the male and female characters were helpless and hollow ,no strength, no brains, just good-looking bodies used to mask a lack of real depth. Despite being constantly abused, manipulated, and even shown as drugged or broken, they showed no real resistance, no transformation just endless victimhood dressed up as romance or drama.Instead of making me feel something meaningful, it just left me drained and honestly, a little angry. Definitely not worth the time.

A 400-PAGE TRAUMA BOND THAT COMPLETELY SHREDDED MY SOUL! 😭💔🔥
Voraciousthe second installment in the Edge of Darkness trilogy and I finished it in a matter of hours... again! The emotions I went through while reading this were so dang bad. Honestly? I am devastated. This isn’t just a book; it’s a trauma. A 400-page trauma that I willingly signed up for, and now I’m a split second away from crying over everything that went down. The first part ended on such a cliffhanger with Stacey and Kade still apart, and in this one, they were constantly on the run. My heart is literally broken for them. The amount of torture Stacey bore while she was so small and unable to tell anyone was already heavy enough, but now? Kade was actually made to see exactly how she was raped and how everything happened. What the hell was that torture?! I don’t know whether to cry or just scream.I am actually sobbing seeing Kade so helpless. And can we talk about Bernadette? I just want this b***h to die. She is such a massive psychopath, and I hate her from the absolute core of my heart for what she’s doing to Stacey and Kade.I’ve read a lot of darkness, but this was on another level. I was literally hooked, pushing myself to finish even when it felt like too much. If you’re a fan of heavy, dark themes, you are going to love this. Even through the pain, those little flashback scenes of them were so beautiful and provided the perfect contrast to the chaos. The ending has me completely devastated. Part of me isn’t even ready for the third book, but I seriously have to know what happens! Also, I forgot to mention we got a lot more scenes with Tobias, and it was just too good. I’m so excited to see how he’s going to handle everything in the finale. On to the final book... wish me luck! Bubyee! 🔪🩸🥀

I want to forget everything about this book.
The only reason I’m finishing this trilogy is because I don’t like leaving books unfinished but I’m suffering every page on the way. This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read

Just the best!
When I say this book shredded my heart and stitched it back together with barbed wire, I mean it. Kade and Stacey are not just another fictional couple—they are the couple I will never forget. Their story is haunting, devastating, raw, and somehow still achingly beautiful. I cried, I raged, I had to set the book down multiple times just to breathe, but I also couldn’t stop turning the pages. What I Loved* Kade & Stacey’s love: Their connection is powerful, messy, and heartbreaking—truly one of my favorite fictional romances ever.* The emotional rollercoaster: From gut-wrenching heartbreak to fleeting glimpses of joy, the story captured every shade of pain and longing.* Flashbacks & memories: The happier moments sprinkled throughout felt like sunlight breaking through the storm.* The writing: Leigh Rivers doesn’t hold back—her storytelling is visceral, immersive, and unforgettable.* Character strength: Stacey’s resilience blew me away. Despite relentless trauma, she kept fighting. And Kade’s unwavering love, even in his darkest moments, made me ache for him.* Villains that made me furious: I have never hated characters the way I hated Chris, Bernadette, Archie, and the rest. That kind of emotional response says a lot about how well-written they were.* The tension: I was constantly on edge, heart pounding, desperate for them to find even a second of safety and peace. What I Didn’t Love* Absolutely nothing. This book was brutal, yes, but every single moment mattered. The pain, the trauma, the cliffhanger…it all served the story, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The ending left me speechless. That cliffhanger? Unbelievable. This book wrecked me in the best and worst ways. It’s not for the faint of heart, please check trigger warnings before diving in but if you’re ready for a raw, soul-crushing, and unforgettable love story, Kade and Stacey’s journey will stay with you forever.

A really heavy read
In this book the situation gets really heavy, there is a desperation to this book and rushing straight into the next book is a must. Leigh Rivers tells hard stories really well, I love and hate this story at the same time, it is devastating but clearly the strength of the characters is an amazing thing to watch.
