Bought these to review a round back mandolin. Strings are good quality and an impressive sound for the price.

Great strings

I'd never heard of the Adagio brand before I searched for mandolin strings on Amazon. But they were very reasonably priced and had pretty good reviews. I only play mandolin on a few songs with my band so I thought what the hell I'd give them a try. They bedded down on my instrument quickly when I put them on, just as the makers said they would and their tone is a considerable improvement on the strings a local music shop put on when they carried out repairs on my instrument. It's too early for me to comment on the longevity of these strings but for now I can only say I'm very satisfied so far and I'm seriously considering a set of Adagio strings for my 12-string guitar.

Phosphor bronze strings have always served me well in my time as a guitarist, and I wasn't surprised when they serviced my Mandolin as well. Strident yet warm tone, perfect for any and all mandolins.
