Kiwi Guard

This has been used by my teenage son every day for one and a half school years so far. It is finally beginning to crack at one of the closing clips, but since it's been squashed into his bag among heavy text books I'm utterly amazed it has lasted this long. It will easily fit all but the largest bananas, weights nothing, is easy to clean, is cheap, and lasts through extended abuse. I couldn't recommend it more.

it does protect bananas.it is incredibly bulkythe clasps will wear overtime due to fatigue.it does the job I wanted from it but it does take up lot of space in my bag. Soo much so, that I have thought a large tupperware container might do just as well.In short, next-time i think i'll buy the standard shaped banana guards.

Thank you for my Item i found it under my Box's the post man put it there becouse i was out it was a good idea to put there were i can find it and i got it. It was fine and when i opened it was fine with no cracks in that is really good I really like my item very much and it will be so useful to and it looks easy to do my Kiwi's this Kiwi Protector is a great idea for Kiwi's and i think this item would be so useful for Children to take to school for there lunch i recamade this to Children to eat healthly and this is a great item to get, and it is so worth buying and this great serivce to

Bought this for my son to take to school but to be honest its so big and cumbersome he hasn't even bothered! I would say it might be ok for an office worker but not ideal for a school child who already has a pretty full school bag as you would need a fair bit of room to actually fit this in! The plastic itself seems quite sturdy so it would probably protect the banana quite well but the clips are really quite tough so a small child would probably struggle to open this themselves.

As I often go for an early morning yomp on the cliff path near where I live, and often take a banana for a snack. As I also have a bottle of water in my bag, my banana often gets very bruised and sometimes leaky ... making a mess of both bag, and making the banana inedible.I have tried using the large banana shaped cases but so often found that the bend was too tight, or the length was wrong etc etc.The Vacu Vin banana guard has so far fitted all the bananas I have tried. It clips together very easily, and your precious banana if perfectly protected inside ... But, and it is a star reducing but ... It is big ... This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that it folds flat when not in use, but if like me, you take along a bottle of water too, your lunch pack can be pretty bulky.Well worth the price in my opinion despite the size.

I'm not a fruit fan, but to try and imrpove my diet I had taken to bringing a banana a day to work, which is fine when they are still rippening and have thicker skins, but by the end of the week they look truly kicked in and are more bruised than Mike Tyson after a post match fall down the stairs. So to remedy this I had seen some of these banana guards before, those odd ones which look more like a marital aid with holes in it and came across this little wonder. Drastically different design but holds all types of banana shapes rather than the 80% quoted by other models. Its so simple to use and is ingenius in its design. I can know carry my banana's with safety and not have to worry about finding baby food at the bottom of my bag when I get to work! Although if the banana is too old it will still show up some marks, but still a vast improvement on anything else. For the price and the ingenuity involved, you would have to be banana's not to buy this product. Potassium hounds of the world, look upon your saviour and bask in its banana-guardy simplicity!

Have been really impressed with this and at such a bargain price. Previously I found I was throwing half the bananas that I took to work away as I can't stand eating them when they get all bruised (yuk). Unlike the other banana holders on the market it will hold virtually any size of banana, however bendy they are, and people don't look at you funny when you take it out your bag!!!! A brilliant product.

The creases and conversely the material are both not robust enough to withstand even the first fold - one end of the case broke when attempted to fold for the first time. The crease is good for a 90 deg fold - needs s softer polymer to be blended in to be able to withstand the curvy fold.When open the product is flat and takes less space, great. However, when made up, this is one of the huge space wasters in your bag.Kudos to the designer for coming up with this.I respect and like innovation and often try products just because somebody has put thought and effort into their creation. Disappointed with the function, but, not the creation. Scope for improvement. All the best.
