Third impression... Very Impressive
Edit.. We are going in for a third time on these boys. Not because I want to, but because they deserve it.!Using the personalized sound profile EQ is REQUIRED to get these to perform at their full potential but once you do, they open up beautifully like a decanted wine and turn into a different set of buds entirely. So my first impressions weren't spot on with just the normal EQ. (the other review clearly didn't take the time to use this feature and neither did I at first, they sound gorgeous afterwards.)After well over 30 hours listening time with these and going back to back to back repeatedly with Bose QC ultras and Jabra 10 elites... These are relentlessly impressive. I'm going all in, 5 stars.I will find myself saying, I want to know what this song sounds like with the momentum 4s if I'm using anything else.. So even my second impressions weren't spot on. The sound is just so crisp and clean with a stark separation between vocals and each instrument with sharp notes and rumbling bass (although i still wish we had an extra click or two of bass). You can hear every little detail perfectly. The jabras give you more bass, a more full bodied intense harmonious and louder sound but its not as clean and distinct. while the jabras have the passion, the momentums have the precision. the bose are just meh by comparison in everything except ANC and honestly dont compete well with either after extensive testing. These sound clean, crisp, tight, and full. It's like the artist is playing the music next to you rather than through a speaker. You can hear delicate parts of the music Bose and Jabra can't even touch. The momentum 4s give you a very pretty, intricate sound where the jabras give you a powerful bold sound, so depending on your taste and type of music you like, jabras may be your preference. The momentum 4s kind of dominate on pure sound with the extra EQ although I stand by that the ANC is average like sony/apple etc and isn't a huge difference between it being on and off. The fit and passive noise cancelling is phenomenal so you get pretty great performance overall, just not like Bose which is like turning the world off. Maybe someday other companies will crack the code like Bose did. The software is beautifully designed with lots of customization features, a very cool personalized sound profile which drastically changes the sound potential of these buds and you need to take the time to use it! Fully changeable touch features, other audio goodies people like.they are extremely comfortable over long periods, have a nice masculine clean look, touch controls are great and responsive, they connect to 2 devices seamlessly. zero connectivity issues, solid battery life, beautiful english accent to the voice prompts. case is great and i like how its not slippery as its covered in weaved fabric.they are encroaching on perfection. They could use a little more bass and ANC needs work. They don't get quite as loud as others but I just turn them up higher? You won't be maxing them out I can't imagine.if you really appreciate music and want to feel like the music is in the room with you and hear every detail clearly, these are a winner.Easily in the fight for the top ear buds in 2024. They could be the best for you depending on your taste.

Unreliable & Worst Customer Service
Let me start off with the pros. They sound great, and their app lets you personalize the audio however you wish. The fit is snug and the earbuds never fell out. They also last quite a while before needed to be recharged. And the quality LOOKS great. That’s about where the pros end, and the cons begin.First off they don’t sound much better than AirPod Pros, and yet they’re $50 more. Then comes the worst part - the reliability. I had these earbuds for roughly 2 months before they started having issues, specifically the right earbud. At first it would struggle connecting and wouldn’t charge at random point even though the left one was doing just fine. Then, roughly around the month and a half mark, the right earbud stopped working completely. Would not charge, play music, or even connect. It was completely dead. At around the 2 month mark, the left earbud followed suit. So I sent in the earbuds to one of their warranty claim centers, and it has been a downward spiral ever since.I’ve have dealt with customer support many times before, but this has to be the worst customer support I’ve ever dealt with. Here’s why:First off, finding their support number is not easy, as Sennheiser does not have a support center now that they are owned by Sonova. And to find their RMA website is even more difficult. Next, I never received any updates on the status—not even an email confirming receipt. I called shortly after the earbuds were expected to be delivered to check if they even received it and was told that they did but the facility is “offline” meaning they will only email you once the package has been sent back to you. On top of that, they informed me that it would take roughly 2 weeks (10 business days all in all) to get everything dealt with. I said okay and moved on.That wasn’t the end of it.Sennheiser finally emails me to ask me for proof of purchase, to which I quickly reply with a screenshot of the purchase details from Amazon. In the email it said that if I did not reply within 5 business days of the email, they would send back the earbuds. Now, 4 business days later, I receive an email saying that the receipt did not the proof of purchase details necessary, giving me less than a day to deal with this.Last thing to note, I did some research when I started seeing these issues and it appears that the malfunction I had with my earbuds has been around for a few years now, ever since their 2nd series of these earbuds. It’s clear that the issue hasn’t been fixed by Sennheiser since then.Overall, I would not recommend these by a long shot. I always heard everyone praise Sennheiser’s headphones and earbuds so I thought it would be a smarter buy than AirPod Pros. Unfortunately I am now regretting that decision as the AirPod Pros would’ve lasted me far longer and Apple support would have dealt with any issues much more efficiently than these people have.

These Are Now My Favorite Ear Buds
These Are Now My Favorite Ear Buds. Sound quality is excellent. The app is handy in reprograming the touch commands. The bass isn't strong in my opinion but the audio is very clear and loud. It fits in my ear and doesn't fall out until around the 5 hour mark where my ear gets oily. I'm getting a little over 7 hours of battery life with continuous use before the bud starts alerting me to charge it. I'd let the alerts repeat itself about 3 times before I place them in the charging case.My only complaint is, when using this with Google maps, the first word in the navigation alerts always get cut off. I'm not sure if this is a Bluetooth version problem since a lot of my older ear buds didn't have this issue on my Note 20 Ultra. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality.

Awesome, until they weren’t!!!! :(:(
I was highly disappointed! On one hand these earbuds sound amazing, they are well balanced and with Sennheiser + App, you can really fine tune them. Getting the fit right was a little work but they offer a couple choices to get the perfect fit. I like the functionality and the battery life is pretty top notch. The ANC needs a little improvement but it’s not horrible and the transparency mode is actually pretty good. Overall hands down the best earbuds I have experienced. But all this means nothing if they don’t work. A week ago the left earbud sound went out, and I do want to emphasize just the sound, because everything else pretty much works. Contacted Asurion of course because I read the reviews and the extra $32 buck appeared worth it, of course until they tell you go to the manufacturer because it’s still within warranty. Okay no biggie, just 30 minutes of my life spent getting no help. So I reach out to Sennheiser and you guessed it, I was told since I had Asurion to go to them. Anger ensued, so I contacted Amazon and they are refunding my purchase, still waiting.

Good earbuds, not very durable
Solid pair of headphones, audio quality and noise cancellation are both very good. Microphone works fine. Durability is a major concern though, after roughly 8 months of normal use one of the earbuds permanently stopped working, troubleshooting steps in the provided manual were not effective. Seems like it is too late to return these so I will be going with other brands in the future, very enjoyable while they lasted though.

Awesome Earbuds
Pros: Wide soundstage, deep bass, distinct lows, mids, and highs, easy to handle controls, good software, excellent distance from iPhone, quick connection.Cons: Slightly subpar ANC.These earbuds are outstanding. I compared them to my Bose QuietComfort earbuds. Other than ANC, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM earbuds are superior. The bass is comparable on both, but you don't want too much bass that drowns out the mids and highs.I've read the other reviews for these earbuds. Some state that the controls are confusing. This is nonsense. The diagram of how to control them couldn't be clearer. The controls on the earbuds are simple and straightforward. What is more is that you can customize the controls through the app. At least one review discusses how the connection drops. I haven't had that happen yet, and I walked away from my phone into a different room at least 30 feet from my phone. The signal didn't even break up. One reviewer even complained that the charging wasn't wireless. Well, that's not even an advertised feature of the earbuds or earbud box. Someone even said they could hear their footsteps while listening to music. Perhaps they didn't have on ANC.The only downside is that my Bose QuietComfort earbuds have better ANC. The ANC on the MOMENTUM is still great, though.Take the negative reviews with a grain of sand. Go with what you read in the reviews that rate these highly. These are now my go to earbuds. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Compared to several others I’ve tried, these are the best sound quality.
Excellent quality earbuds. I’m very pleased. I’ve used a number of others earbuds in the past and some were the usual suspects like AirPods Pro, Soundpeats H3, Status Audio Pro X, TOZO Golden X1, and others. The Sennheiser Momentum TW 4 is the best sound quality I’ve heard in a BT earbud. I couldn’t be more pleased and impressed.

Bad design decisions make this item one to avoid
Lets open with qualifications: I've been a Sennheiser customer since 2010, purchasing dozens of consumer and pro level products from them and have generally consider them to be my go to if I need any kind of audio playback that sits on my head or in my ears. With that out of the way, I'll start with the good and then move on to the bad; These have near unparalleled audio quality for true wireless sets. They're fairly comfortable and have decent noise cancellation. The app is relatively easy to use, though they do seem to love arbitrarily moving where options are located. The tips are comfortable, the battery life is okay, and they are pretty user friendly.Q: It sounds like you love these headphones right? What gives?A: I did love these headphones! There is one major flaw though, and it cannot be over stated. The fatal flaw is that these headphones, and their charging case by extension, CANNOT BE POWERED OFF. Earlier generations of this product had options in the app to shut down the battery pod and the ear pieces if you ever really needed to, like if say you were to leave them in your pocket and send them into the washing machine. All the online literature says to power them down and leave them without power for 24 hours in the event of water exposure, but there is no way to power them down. The earbuds go into power save mode when placed in the charging case or when left idle for 15 minutes, but there is no way to shut these down if you really need to, at all. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, but ultimately it means that any water exposure to the charging case WILL be fatal, as you can't give it a chance to dry out and try later. Mine shorted, ran the battery all the way down in about 25 minutes, and has been inoperable since. I get the privilege of ordering a $120 replacement case instead.I have been a long time fan of Sennhieser products, but since they split the company up quality control and customer service have been a problem, and oversights like this in terms of product design (honestly, why did they take away the ability to power down these devices? I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell devices you can't power off, especially those with wireless communications systems) make it hard to recommend these pricey, poorly supported products to other users. To end on a high note, I was able to easily source a new charging case, instead of having to buy a whole new set of earbuds, so good on them for that. And I will acknowledge that it was my fault the device became damaged, but their own posted solution for water exposure is literally impossible, so any good kind of gets washed away by the bad here.Ultimately, it's 95% a great product, but the 5% is enough to ruin it.

Great sound quality, problems with ANC when there are high-frequency noises
The sound quality itself is great. The ANC is awesome at blocking loud noises like speakers or cars. However, the ANC completely sucks at blocking any high-frequency noise, such as paper crackling or even mouse clicks. So just know that you won't live in complete isolation with this ANC.

I like the design of the earbud, the quality of the sound. but now I cant enter pairing mode.
Subject: Unable to Enter Pairing Mode – Momentum True Wireless 4 (Purchased via Amazon)Dear Sennheiser Support Team,I recently purchased a pair of Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds via Amazon. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to enter Bluetooth pairing mode, even after several attempts to reset the device. Here are the details of the issue:Model: Momentum True Wireless 4Issue: The earbuds no longer enter Bluetooth pairing mode.Steps Already Taken:I performed the touchpad reset by holding both earbuds for over 30 seconds with the lid open and the case connected to power.I uninstalled and reinstalled the Smart Control app.I performed a hearing test through the app prior to this issue.I attempted multiple factory resets following the official user manual and online guidance.Despite these efforts, the earbuds do not enter pairing mode (no red/blue blinking), and I am unable to use them with any new devices.I would appreciate it if you could advise on any additional troubleshooting steps, or if a firmware restore or warranty service is required. I can provide the Amazon order number and purchase invoice if needed.Thank you for your support, and I look forward to your guidance.
