Powerful, great value, but not a gaming machine!
This is my 2nd BMAX mini-PC purchase after 5 years, and I am absolutely a fan of mini-PCs in general. BMAX stands out from the rest of the mini-PC offerings in that they incorporate recent chipsets (AMD or Intel), dual NVMe support, and all the connections (USB-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, etc) you would expect on an up to date PC today. In short, this is not system comprised of a hodgepodge of generations old surplus components. Although maybe the 'surplus' description is still applicable. My first basic and very affordable mini PC still works today, but due to my extremely positive experience, I decided to upgrade to one of their most powerful offerings today. The BMAX B8A Pro runs a current AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS released July 2024. When it comes to mini-PCs using generations old chipsets, this is pretty much as good as it gets. The B8A Pro touts itself as a gaming mini-PC but here's the reality. Call of Duty Warzone runs at the lowest settings, and struggles with 30fps at 1080p. The bottleneck is not so much with the internal Radeon 780M graphics but with the memory. The single 16GB DDR5 4400Mhz memory module is great for home office, streaming and browsing, but not for gaming. For gaming, 2 memory modules are recommended. 4400Mhz DDR5 is also on the slower end when there options up to 6400Mhz today. This gaming bottleneck applies to other BMAX offerings also as the 24GB or 8GB are also single memory modules. So in short, this is not a FPS capable mini-PC out of the box (unless you want to run it at super low resolution and frame rates). You would be better served purchasing a PS5 or Xbox instead. If you keep these expectations in mind, then the BMAX mini-PC then becomes an incredible system that delivers great value and is blazing fast for everything else. Lastly, one thing that is obvious but not mentioned often in reviews is that laptops are just not great at being a static home PC. Biggest issue with long term reliability is cooling and wearing out the USB-C connector. So if you are primarily using your PC at home, this is where the compact form, power saving, and most of all....value of a mini-PC shines.

Good so far
- From the 8 GB RAM, preinstalled Win11 (yet without intensive using) leaves 4.5 GB free. - The ventilation outlet slots are at right. - Zero problem with HDMI and video streaming so far. - It is brand new, so I cannot say yet about hardware lifetime. (Inside the box is a simple warning on a yellow label, which I'll improve the wording of: Do not connect the mini-PC to any internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) before the first Windows boot. This is to prevent it from downloading updates that will slow down the initial boot process. Once the boot process is complete and you're on the desktop screen, you can then connect it to the internet normally.)

Decent basic mini-PC at a good price point.
Lightweight mini-PC with basic functionality. I bypassed Windows 11, which was preloaded, in favor of installing Linux. The Linux install went smoothly, but the wifi module was balky. I disassembled the unit and gave the wifi card connections a little twist to ensure they were making good contact. Reassembled and everything worked as expected. There is a second NVME socket if you want to extend storage. RAM is apparently permanently attached. The N5095A processor is a little better than the N5095. A decent basic machine for light work in Windows or for Linux. I'm using mine as a headless Linux server/distributed computing unit. It comes with an HDMI cable, power supply, and a VESA mounting plate and hardware.

The Bmax B3 is amazing
I bought the Bmax B3 for a specific (non-gaming) purpose and it performs extremely well. It was easy to set up with ample ports. I use a BT keyboard and a wireless trackball plus it powers a 11.6" IPS monitor by HDMI and USB-C. I especially like the size. Small. Very small footprint. It's fast and ample for my use. I had some questions for their tech support and found them very responsive and helpful. This has two slots for RAM and an expansion drive slot if needed. All very easy to get to. This very small PC could easily replace the large desktop PC of yesteryear.

Poor Customer Support
I purchased BMAX B3 pro mini pc, 256 G, SSD 8 GB from Amazon (10/15/25) for my step-son. This will be my second purchase of this product. My first purchase was (03/24/25) for my step-daughter. The latter part of May my step-son started having problems with the on/off switch sticking. I attempt to filed a claim through Asurion on (5/31/26), but after a few weeks of waiting to hear back from them, I was finally instructed to contact the seller, BMAX, for repair or instructions as to what to do next because the product is still under warranty. On 06/08/26, I contacted BMAX by Email and as of today 06/22/26, I have not received received any response. I am totally disappointed with the lack of customer service.

This is a nice mini PC! i do have minor problem with this one.. I like a minor challenge
Nice looking mini computer. Setup was easy but for some reason it stops booting when the PC;s logo appears on the monitor. I have to press Control/ALT/Delete then it reboots and goes into Bios. Then I again have to pree Control/Alt/Delete again the it will boot to Windows 11 with no problem It then works perfect fast ab=nd smooth. This has to be done on almost every bott up. It has booted properly only two times out of approx. 20 boot up's. I am a tech so I will figue it out. Otherwise I like this little guy very much. Works perfect once booted. I'm fairly sure its only a problem with this computer only.
