The Happiness Trap Pocketbook

Great book. Great illustrations too.
The media could not be loaded. I really enjoyed these techniques. This book was so helpful to me when practicing the exercises within, I bought one for my son as well. He said it's helped him see things differently too. When you struggle to be happy all the time it wears a person down. Everyone should read this book. We simply can not be happy all of the time. Life shows up. A good read/activity booklet.

The right treatment of an important topic
I did like the happiness trap in its original form but this is excellent. It is the right level to be usable and easy to pick up and reread. Some of the illustrations are so bad that they are funny. The concepts and the theories are so well expressed that I find them refreshing and powerful.Dr Harris has achieved a great step forward from the simplistic "Positive thinking" books that promise great results but deliver almost nothing. I would like to see this book used at local high schools as required reading. Well done. I would like the reality slap treated in the same way.

A must-have for any ACT clinician
This is a must-have for any ACT clinician's professional library. The illustrated nature of the book makes concepts easily accessible to both clinicians and patients alike, and is a great way to socialize patients to the ACT model. I have purchased three copies: two to lend out to patients and one for myself. I have had several patients comment on how much they enjoyed the book and some have even opted to purchase the full version on their own.

This is the illustrated version from UK
Since I already have the US version of this book, its really annoying to me that it was not clear that there is two versions of this book. This is not a pocket-sized, this is a graphic novel that help support the written book, The Happiness Trap. There is a better version of this already out in the United States.

Fun to "read" and love the cartoons!
This is like a cartoon form of the book with the eqivalent of outline form in the sense of content, but the key ideas are listed and it is a great way to "read the whole book" without reading the whole book.

Very useful. My doctor recommended this for book for me and I got a lot from it. I purchased this copy for my daughter.

The book is fantastic but I received an older edition and waited a month for delivery
This book is great and I highly recommend it. BUT, be very careful when you order. Not sure what went wrong. When I ordered the first time, I got it within 2 days and it was the latest edition. When I bought a second copy for a friend, she received an older edition and waited nearly a month for it as it came from India. If I could rate my experience (not the book) for my second order, I will give 1 star. Very disappointing.

Quick, easy and visual resource for exploring ACT principles with examples and practical exercises. Would recommend.
I found the Pocketbook enjoyable and easy to read and understand. There are various examples and exercises throughout which helps simplify the concepts and apply them yourself. I would recommend this as a quick visual way of exploring the key ACT principles and strategies (especially if you learn relatively better from visual stimuli)
