Purchased this Betta SE Solar Powered robotic skimmer in October & it's been running continuously for a month. This automated skimmer is an excellent tool that's useful, well-engineered & so simple to use! It works straight from the box & into the pool with the flick of the "On" switch. Easy peazy, and a sparkling clean pool within hours. Since it's solar-powered, there's also no operating cost.Within a day or two, I noticed that the fine mesh basket not only picks up large debris like leaves, but also small particles of dust & insects that normally slip through the netting of a handheld pool skimmer. In the long run, less debris gets sucked by the pool pump so that the filtration system has less stress & is circulating cleaner water.For 100% transparency, I'm not a professional reviewer & didn't receive any payment or discounts for writing this review. I purchased this during the Prime Big Deals Day flash sale for $325, and like the overwhelming majority of owners who've posted their own glowing reviews of this skimmer, I consider the Betta SE not only a functional & efficient tool, but also an excellent value.I've posted two pictures of the skimmer moving towards me & away from me.

Betta, where have you been all of my life? This has been one of my best Amazon purchases ever. It has saved me from having to skim my pool with a skimmer net multiple times a day and my pool has never been so clean. Betta works so much more effectively to scoop up the smallest bits of debris that usually go right through my skimmer net. Also, since it runs day and night, there's hardly anything sinking to the bottom of the pool. I used to have to vacuum the bottom of my pool every day, but since I got Betta, even after a week there really isn't a need to vacuum. It has worked perfectly since I put it in my pool 2 months ago, and I don't know how I could live without it now. I got the 3 year extended warranty just in case something happens, but I've had no trouble up to this point. The only time I remove it from the pool is when we're swimming or when I need to clean out the basket. Cleaning out the basket is very simple, it just needs a light spray with a garden hose. I generally clean it out once a day but I could probably do this every 2 or 3 days. I love that it runs on solar power so no need to plug it in to charge a battery. Now that the days are getting shorter, I do find that the flashing green lights are usually flashing red in the morning and while the red lights are flashing, it moves a bit slower until the sun comes up and charges it to green light full power once again. It might seem a bit expensive, but for the amount of time I have saved cleaning my pool, it's worth so much more to me than what I paid for it. I could not be happier with this purchase. I only wish I'd bought it sooner.

I just LOVE my Betta and I never write reviews - but this merits the effort. It works for me in almost all important ways. First - lightweight to carry - so it doesn't break my back the way my robot pool cleaner (that does the pool floor) does. Easy to empty and clean the filter - a breeze! Now that the leaves have started to fall into the pool, it is doing an awesome job keeping it looking pristine! Sometimes it doesn't have the strongest suction, but it captures almost all that's in its way. Whatever gets pushed to the side, it gets on the next few passes. I just leave it in for hours and it does its thing - quietly and efficiently. Pulling it up from the side is easy to do. I love the solar charging - I have to charge my pool robot cleaner and it's a pain to lug it and coordinate the charging and bring it back out. So Betta solves all those problems! And did I mention - there is a ZEN like quality, watching it quietly move around the pool - that surprised me. As you can tell, I'm a big fan. It grabs all the nasty bugs and dirt floating on the surface. Well worth the price that I paid! Look at the pic I attached - yes, that was in the filter basket. BETTA works. I haven't really needed to use the remote so can't really evaluate that. Swimming in pristine waters now - thanks to BETTA!

Our pool is in a heavily treed yard, and we were endlessly having to manually skim out the leaves and pollen. Thinking there had to be a better solution, we found the Betta Bot on line. It is simple to use, right out of the box. We leave it in the pool at all times when we are not swimming. A single charge seems to last over 24 hours. When it runs out of charge, it just sits in the pool and recharges in the sunlight, then starts again.The pool is sparkling. We did have to block the built in skimmer/filter with a pool noodle as is suggested in the packaging to prevent the Betta Bot from getting caught in the skimmer. That is all we had to do, and now we never have to skim the leaves off the pool at all. It is fantastic.We have only had it for 2 weeks, but so far, it is definitely worth the money

This is a great little robot that helps keep our pool ready for swimming at all times. Instead of spending 20 minutes every time we want to go for a dip, we can now jump straight in!! Life changing for us as our pool was always full of leaves.I just hope it lasts for a couple of years!
