“Y” type screwdrivers are hard to find. There are some “kits” that have removable bits available but the tip holder will not fit in tight spaces. Surprisingly big box stores and hardware stores do not carry the “y” screwdriver needed for working on many electronics. The magnetized screwdriver is also needed to extract tiny screws in tight spaces. This is a small set that actually works when working on electronics. Highly recommend.

I recently encountered an electronic joystick that needed repair. As luck would have it, the case was held together with strange looking screws, not a normal slot, not quite a Phillips head. Since the screw heads were recessed, I knew I needed another tool. A quick search on Amazon revealed what I needed. This set was inexpensive and had 5 sizes, so I was pretty sure it would meet my need. The set was delivered the next day, and I was able to complete the repair.These are quite adequate for occasional use. They're not a major brand and probably wouldn't hold up for long with daily use on a production line, but the were quite adequate for the job I needed to do.I can recommend them.

Even though I have the tri-wing bits I was not able to open the Wii Nunchuck due to the depth of one of the screws. This kit allowed me to get to that screw and open the device up so that the broken wires could be replaced. And this also allows for the components to be tested afterwards to make sure they are still working once the wires have been replaced with some better quality wires.
