Best bang for your buck.
Okay so first impression is this thing is great, I haven’t walked this “normal” in over a year since I was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome and had foot drop ever since. Now my foot from an upright seated position matches the other fully functioning foot when I lift either off the ground. I went for a little test drive in my car and while I still have to lift my foot completely to transfer between accelerator and brake I did subconsciously just use the ball of my foot to switch just once which if I can train myself more that will be a game changer since I do drive truck for a living and give my right leg quads a hell of a workout having to lift my leg to work the foot controls responsibly. That being said, the downside is the upper cuff while padded does dig into my inside calf just slightly but I do have very big muscular calves and is in no fault of the device however, if they do offer a larger option for that particular area it would be perfect. I did loosen the top strap and that has stopped the digging but personally I would like a tighter fit, just makes it feel more secure. I wear a size 13 shoe and while it does seem a little short and I didn’t have to cut it which only displays up to 10, there is no uncomfortableness under my foot nor does it affect function. And honestly with my size it adjusts great and has plenty of room for more. Pro tip:It’s even more comfortable when I’m able to wear when you can fit it under the insole, since the insoles are usually grippy on the bottom you will have to make sure the toe of the insole of your shoe makes it all the way down, you may need to unlace a little or a lot to make sure everything is fitting flat. Also, if you’re like me, you already have a shoe horn but just in case you don’t you should pick one up. While this does feel sturdy enough to to push my foot in, I did feel like my foot drop does not have enough control and one day I might break it by putting too much pressure to get my shoe on so I’ll be using my shoe horn from now on. I do not notice any extra weight on once side versus the next, but I am constantly wearing heavier work boots and shoes so your experience may differ. All in all, it’s solid and a great value compared to the more expensive specialty products offered by medical sector vendors. I suspect it will last well enough for expectations and if it doesn’t I will update my review. Technically my review is 4.5 stars but doesn’t warrant going down to 4 because of the help it provides.

Not exactly as described in ad..........
What can I say, this thing does not work. The fit is incomplete. I can't get my heel seated properly in the rear of the device. The straps are ineffective in keeping the brace on my leg and my foot unless I ratchet them into a tourniquet. The sole of the device is slick on both sides which provides ZERO traction or grip. When wearing socks or just going barefoot, my foot will slide out of the device. This thing needs vast improvement!!!! I will be asking for a return/refund.

Woks great. Very comfortable
Super comfortable. I have drop foot from a damaged nerve in my leg. This device has me walking normal again. I play disc golf over rugged terrain. Not only does this brace fix the drop foot issue, but it provides extra support for my ankle when I plant my foot to throw the disc. Just need to wear tall socks with it under the straps.

Very comfortable and great support.
Because of the paralysis I have in my foot and ankle, it’s a little difficult to get on but other than that, it wonderful. Very good quality , no sharp edges, very comfortable pad on the top fastener Its so perfectly fit you don’t even know you’re wearing it. It’s improved my walking and balance. The support on the back of the leg is strong yet very light. The size is perfect and the straps are easy to apply. No adjustment to size was required and most importantly, once in the shoe under the insole, you can not even feel it. It does not slide around and is comfortable when walking.

Life changing!🤗
I love this! It only took about two years of battling severe foot drop in my left foot and slight foot drop in my right, after lumbar surgery #2. I had never even heard of this simple, yet effective, device! Until . . . A physical therapist I recently consulted with suggested giving this a try. With his simple explanation of its intended purpose . . . I couldn't open my Amazon account fast enough! I decided to start with my left, being the worst. After receiving, fitting, and taking just a few steps . . . My "slight" foot drop on my right was highlighted! Sooo . . Off to Amazon to order it's mate! I honestly feel bionic and free to walk without fear of public gymnastics due to the toe of my shoe dragging, causing my tripping, falling, and . . . I highly recommend trying this if you struggle with foot drop problems! I haven't experienced any problems with fit or comfort, at all! I would think any minor irritation could be simply resolved with the strategic placement of gauze. Imho, that would be an easy trade for an amazingly helpful, simple, reasonably priced . . . Bionic Feet! Im so excited to experience walking confidently again! After years of struggle, doctors, surgeons, and "specialists" . . . I couldn't be more greatful to my very knowledgeable, well educated, focused, specialist, who first informed me of this life changing invention! . . My Physical Therapist! All of the education in the world is useless when not applied! If for some reason this does not help your foot drop it's a simple return. My life has changed . . . For less than $100!😁

Tight inside the shoe
My problem is not drop foot so my experience may not be relevant to people who have that. The brace made my shoe very snug such that my big toe was squeezed.. I used it to help walking golf courses as my right leg has a dead nerve in the calf that climbing hills difficult. I bought the brace at the rec of my PT. He said it improved my gait. I have had mixed results: some days better than others. My foot got feeling painful on the last few holes of an 18 hole walking around. My physical therapist added some cushioning with adhesive pads that helped marginally, but because the brace is so snug, the pads were ripped off on the sides after a few wearings. Net net, for me it probably was of a little help, but there was also discomfort because of the squeezing on my foot and the plastic heel pieces, irritating back of my heel and bottom of my heel. Use some cushioning and get shoes that have some room so your feet aren’t too squeezed..

Bad Drsign
Very poor design. It takes an act of God it get on. There's not a velcro strap low enough to keep the shoe part from sliding off your foot. You cant put the brace in the shoe first and use it like a "shoe horn" to drive your foot in because of the plastic design in the heel area. Just bad design.

Excellent. Works perfectly for my Foot drop
I suffer with foot drop caused by spinal problems, I have a light blue NHS brace, I bought this black one because I prefer the colour especially when wearing shorts. But interestingly enough it is quite a bit shorter and I actually find it much more comfortable Than the NHS one, I have large calves and even after heating and bending it it still pinched and rubbed a bit. Because this one is shorter it goes under my calf muscle so doesn't hurt at all The heel is also more comfortable and I don't need the pad a have to use with the other. Surprisingly it gives as much support to my foot as the higher one, I was a bit worried at first The only down side is the lower strap got in the way, I always wear boots not shoes, so I removed it by drilling the metal fixing. It's much easier to put the brace in the boot then put my foot in. This would not be a problem with shoes.

Great choice!
Bought them to replace older AFOs and they are amazing! Good heel to toe walking with them strong but still comfortable. Bought left and right, soft straps and feels way more secure than just the Velcro style strapping that wears out. Easy to fit into any shoe may have to cut to size if you have smaller feet

Too flimsy
Too flimsy. Would ha e returned them bur I had already cut them to fit. Material is too thin. Does not work for foot drop.

VERY COMFORTABLE AND EXCELLENT SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WITH FOOT-DROP- WALK NORMALLY AGAIN!
I have foot-drop in both feet and have for many years been wearing the ankle brace support type with the Velco strapping to assist my walking and to prevent my feet from drooping and tripping etc., but I found them to make my ankles swell and become tired and sore. So I decided to purchase a right and left AFO S-Type, to see if I could walk more efficiently and normally. I recently did a 3 mile walk around London and found both to be very comfortable indeed. The upper leg Velcro strap has soft comfortable padding, which did not chafe my legs. The fit and the effectiveness was perfect for me - I found that I could walk quite normally without tripping, and I could walk faster with no more pain in my ankles, and I have started to learn to run again ! These are very good value for money, are an excellent and comfortable support and I shall be wearing them from now on - I wished that I had acquired these much earlier. Don't forget to remove the insole from your shoe and place on top of the AFO sole. I have found my legs again!
