The quote on the back of the book says "Your powers of deduction are needed to solve the cases within...all kinds of puzzles to suit all tastes and levels of logical skill." All kinds of puzzles??? There's only one kind and that involves math not logic. Too bad the libraries are closed so I can't donate the book. I'll leave it on the ledge at the local dump for someone to entertain themselves during the quarantine.

Masses of puzzles to make you think in different ways. Each is written as if posed by Sherlock Holmes to Watson who relays it to the reader. There are various styles of problem which progress in difficulty through the stages of the book. The solutions are available arranged in such a way to prevent your seeing the next one when you check your answer. Forget Sudoku! These really make you think.

I love sherlock and i also used to love playing professor layton and solving all the puzzles. This is a great timewaster and really gets your mind working. Luckily the answers see in the back!

Some good puzzles in here, and you get a lot of puzzles to work through, but too many of them were essentially school maths puzzles (if one train leaves from A at speed x, and another train leaves from B at speed y, what time do they meet). I was hoping for more crime-related or mystery puzzles

The book is well written, but most of the puzzles are more logical puzzle solving rather than actual puzzle solving.
