Great product. I got Write speed of 1014 MBps which is very close to 10Gbps transfer speeds. I am using seagate barracuda ssd inside. it looks great and has great finish. The aluminum body helps a lot with heat dissipation. The only down side is that when you install the ssd and then put on the heat pad on top of it and then slide the aluminum body back on, it sort of pushes the heat pad along with the aluminum body thus making the heat pad disfigured. i had to push a little on the heat pad before putting the aluminum body on so that the heat pad is not dragged along. I do not need to take the ssd out ever again so i guess i am good but not sure for the people who would want to take it out constantly.

It's 10 Giga BITS Per Second, the Real time speed. Your PC transfers in BYTES (8 Bits) 10 divided by 8 = 1.2 Giga BYTES Per Second In the best case scenario, that's the data transfer max speed you'll receive out of your external NVME SSD. Don't get me wrong, the quality is pretty good and solid. Hope this provides better clarity.

Was looking for a cost 10gbps enclosure for a spare nvme I had and found this. I have an existing Ugreen 10gbps enclosure and a 40gbps ASM2464PD enclosure and even the former cost significantly more than this one so I was not expecting much but I have to say I am more than pleased with the purchase. The enclosure works per specs yielding very close to USB C 3.1Gen2 peak speeds at about 950/930 MB/s Read/write on a gen3 nvme SSD.. The enclosure also gets warm to the touch after sustained read/writes which would indicate that the metal enclosure is doing its job of heat dissipation. Additionally it came with a thermal pad and a rather nice carry case which were a nice surprise given the price. This is probably the lowest cost JMS583 enclosure anywhere. I have no idea how pibox managed this feat but kudos to the guys behind the team! If I had one nitpick, it would be that the enclosure closing mechanism is a sliding one rather than a removable top panel . This would make swapping disks difficult if a thermal pad is used. I'll carry out a sustained 50 or 100GB file copy operation and will update the review in case the speeds show a considerable drop after some time - but for now, a 5 star rating is more than deserved for this enclosure at this price point.

It is an Excellent case for Super Fast SSD, it comes with an excellent presentation and lining for protection and storage. It is very practical and takes up little space.
