We create three types of content. Lives (streaming/Twitch), shorts (TikTok), and long form content (YouTube). This camera has changed how we produce all of our content, for the better. 1. The camera is actually good. The lens is a 23mm f/1.8. If you know about camera lenses, then you know how much that alone could cost. We've tried a few different cameras over the years and this one is seriously good for the price. 2. Our workflow while we record in the shop is so much more efficient because of the AI tracking features. The time we spent moving one camera from place to place in the shop is now just placing the camera in an angle that can see most of our workspace and then we use hand gestures to track and zoom. 3. Connectivity is easy since there are multiple ways to connect the tail air. You can plug in the camera via the USB-C cable and start filming or you can connect via (NDI license which can be purchased separately) or even a USB to ethernet adapter. 4. OBSBOT has a remote control for the system too, so you could control all features of the tail air from a distance that way, if your content limits that ability to use hand gestures. Those are just the quick good points. We use the camera as our main streaming camera. The tail air can integrate with our stream deck allowing us to have quick buttons for different angles of the room, different preset zoom points, and quick AI tracking. Since the tail air has all of these features, we have eliminated all the other cameras from our streaming setup. In the OBSBOT App you can control all camera settings, like your ISO, shutter speed, auto focus, white balance, and frame rates. You can even go as far as to apply your temperatures, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness to the video being recorded. While the $499 price tag may seem high initially, I can assure you that you will not get this quality of camera, with all these features, for anywhere close to this amount anywhere else.

High quality, easy to install and use. I like it so much I bought a second to get another shot from a different angle. Works very well with OBS.

Exelente camara

This has been an incredible camera. But it has one HUGE flaw. When you power the camera it charges the battery and the battery then powers the camera. I've had this camera for 13 months now. About 6 months ago I noticed the battery was not charging to full. But that was not really a problem as it is used in a studio and not as a mobile camera. Then over the last several months the battery level has gone lower and lower. Today the battery will not charge. No charge in the battery equals the camera not turning on. There seems to be no ability to bypass the battery or replace it to fix the issue. This camera was way too expensive to lose it 13 months out. Exactly one month after the warranty expires. It was great while it worked. But with this battery issue it is a huge problem. Do not buy unless you plan to use it only for 6 months to a year.

I like this camera because it is small, I can record in 4K and do livestream at 1080p . You can also control it with your hands. The battery lasts almost 2 hours depending on the function you use. you can use NDI but you have to buy the license it is not free .it has Micro HDMI and USB C that you can plug into your computer and use this camera as webmcan. The tail air also has an app for PC that can control the camera using only wireless Wi-Fi and has all the functions that the app has on the phone. It has zoom but it is not optical, it is digital 4x It's not a problem for me because I don't use zoom much. There are many functions that it has and there are many videos that show how this camera works :)

I’m a professional dog trainer and I purchased this to record my training. The camera struggles to ever connect to Wi-Fi and almost always has to run off of cellular network even when it’s inside my house. It’s motion tracking capabilities, leave much to be desired in my opinion, often times the camera will get hooked on some inanimate object and is nearly impossible to get it to let go of that thing. I have many many videos of the sky or the driveway or a bush, because a couple of minutes into the video the camera gets confused on what it should be tracking and get stuck on some random object. I thought this was because the dogs were moving too fast, but even when making obedience videos where we barely move in an area it still gets lost occasionally. The videos take a very long time to upload from the device to my phone, and I’ve been very unimpressed with the quality of video. I get much better videos from my iPhone. Overall pretty disappointing, considering the amount of money that I spent on this investment, I very rarely even use the camera and I’ve owned it for a year and a half.

The product overall seemed good. However it was unable to connect to a mobile hotspot. RTSP was also extremely unreliable and many times would not connect to the network (devices connected to different network error) and when connected would drop and not reconnect. It is also important this does not come with an NDI license (100$). Unfortunately the support team is over seas and only works through email. It worked great in a pinch wired with usb-c. But unfortunately that was not the use case I purchased it for and will return it for the tail 2 as it has Ethernet that can be plugged into a dedicated wireless router. Overall a good product if you go in knowing some quirks.

This is camera 3 for me, for when I get up and move around and want the camera to follow me. It also has 3 preset positions, as well as AI tracking. It really is very good. I love being able to reposition the camera and zoom using the app or remote. You can control it with your smart phone, but there is also an available remote control, which I bought, and also highly recommend.

Die Tail Air von OBSBOT ist definitiv eine Top Kamera, auch wenn der Preis für einige eventuell zu hoch sein wird. Es gibt, aber auch gute Gründe wieso ich sie mir trotzdem geholt habe. Man hat hier alles,was man braucht. 4k 30fps und Gestensteuerung. Was die Kamera ausmacht ist aber, das sie drahtlos zum Streamen genutzt werden kann. Für jeden Content Creator ist das Gold wert. Man will öfters mal woanderst Aufnahmen und mit dieser Webcam ist das möglich. NDI Streaming ist auch möglich. Es kann auch eine Speicherkarte eingelegt werden und somit ohne Probleme jederzeit aufgenommen werden. Die Kamera sieht zwar groß aus,aber wiegt wenig. Dazu kommt, dass es noch eine schöne Box für den Transport dazu gibt. Über das OBSBOT Programm läßt sich alles einstellen. Hier werden auch dir Firmware Updates durchgeführt. Diese kommen Regelmäßig. Wer keinen PC hat,kann auch die App fürs Handy benutze!
