Never has a drone and received this drone as a gift. It works exactly as advertised and is simple to use once you get familiar with it. I strongly suggest you run through the tutorials before you begin. Bottom line, it’s fun to use and easy. Lots of nice advanced features too. Only downside is the short (19 min) battery life. An extra battery would be a huge benefit.

The drone flies great, works great.. the battery is a joke though.. i takes about 5 minutes to connect first of all, and then you barely get 4/5 max minutes of flying time. I am not sure if I got a lemon battery? but I would expect the drone to have atleaset 10/15 minutes of flying time as advertised

Wish it came with a second battery....not a deal breaker at all... awesome purchase.

It would be nice if it connected but it doesnt... Useless as a result. The two times it did connect the motors were super loud and the battery didnt last for much more than 10 min, and since it didnt want to connect saying it had weak signal (but my phone said connection was excellent) it wont do any of the modes like follow or waypoints etc. . Extra batteries are super expensive since they dont give you an extra like they used to, so if you get it in the air you got 10 min if you didnt have to deal with any connecting issues. Ya the price was decent but it wasnt even worth it. Ive had $20 drones do what this one does. I spent more time trying to make it work than it worked! Maybe the more expensive ones are better but for my first HolyStone I couldnt be more disappointed.

An outstanding Drone and outstanding delivery.

Performance appropriate to the price point. Less-stable recordings, and slow video updates to a cellphone, but capable of decent photos. It flew fine and served to practice flight on a reasonably stable gps drone with basic functions like Return-to-home. Easy to fly, no crashes in the several flights, but today one of the four rotors failed to spin-up when pressing the unlock button before takeoff. Unfortunately this was only at about 45 days of ownership, so I will soon see the value of the warranties I have.

Worked great the first couple of times we used it despite the battery only lasting about 15 minutes. Charged it and took it out again since it’s finally summer and flew it up about 10 feet high and then the controller started beeping nonstop and the drone just started going straight up and not responding. It flew straight up nonstop for a good 10 minutes until it was past the clouds and we couldn’t see it anymore. Never came back down and didn’t “return home” when the battery died like it usually would because we sat there for a good hour staring at the sky waiting for it to come back and never saw it again. Learn from my mistakes, spend the extra on a DJI so you don’t end up with no drone because yours decided to kamikaze itself into the atmosphere.
