Works But...
I bought this item to review it. I found that it reduced ambient room noise from the rear and the side by about 4dB. So technically it works but I don't think 4dB is going to make or break a podcast or live stream. Also the device is a monstrosity that I wouldn't want to appear on camera during a live stream. It's fine but definitely not a "must have" in my opinion.
