Versatile, Durable, and Exceptionally Organized!
The Alpaka Elements Tech Brief Pro is hands-down one of the most thoughtfully designed tech bags I’ve used. It strikes a perfect balance between form and function, offering a clean, professional look with serious internal organization. With a 15L capacity, it comfortably fits my laptop, tablet, chargers, and daily essentials—with room to spare. The internal layout is intuitive, with dedicated compartments that keep everything in place without feeling cramped. I especially appreciate the multiple carry options: briefcase, messenger, or backpack. The hidden handles and padded straps make it easy to switch styles depending on the day.The materials are top-notch—weather-resistant and rugged without being bulky. Whether you go for the ballistic nylon or the lighter X-Pac version, both feel premium and built to last. It holds its shape well, even when not fully packed, and stands up on its own, which is a huge plus in professional settings. If you’re looking for a sleek, modular bag that adapts to your workflow and travel needs, the Tech Brief Pro is a standout. It’s become my go-to for both work and weekend carry.

THE PERFECT BAG...It Really Is... !!!
I have owned just about every type of high-end daypack / computer pack, etc. etc. etc. I use them, figure out they are too big, too cumbersome, too clunky, not as well designed, or just a hassle to use. I'm not going to name all the types here, but just figure if they're really the more expensive high-end daypacks, I've owned them and really don't use them. I also have owned quite a few briefcases, from handmade expensive leather ones to the cool high end canvas ones, etc. etc. and I find that I really don't use them. The bag just works...and works well! You could use it as a messenger or a daypack...I don't use it that way. The way I use it is to carry either two MacBook Airs in the compartments, or a MacBook Air and an iPad Pro, a couple of mouse pads, a set of Bose headphones, a couple of batteries with cables, a mouse, a pair of glasses and a journal for writing. I have a few other things in it but to my surprise I love it as a briefcase and that's the only way I carry it. The handle is very comfortable, there are things like deep pockets below the handles to put stuff in there...such as AirPods...if the Bose headphones look too cumbersome for the setting. I can quick draw the MacBook Airs when needed and I'm set up or shutting it all down quickly. I now use a TOPO Mountain bag as my Mary Poppins EDC bag for the stuff I need if I have to fix something, etc. but this bag is just what I need. I serve as a professor and also an elected official and I have to be online all the time. This is the Perfect bag! Get it, use it and enjoy it...I have, and I'm thankful someone came up with this design!

I really love this laptop bag!
I am so excited to have this 3 in 1 laptop bag. I only plan to use it as a brief/backpack, but its nice to know that you can use it as a crossbody messenger bag as well. I am 6', 215lbs and the backpack fits great. The straps are easily adjustable, are well padded and fit very snug right at the shoulders making it a very comfortable fit while carrying your gear around. I like all of the organization and that the main and front compartments can expand a little if you need to shove in something larger, like a light jacket. I like how the backpack straps and briefcase grab handles can both be stowed when not in use. I also really like that there are grab handles permanently affixed to either end of the bag. I like the material both inside and out. The zippers are well constructed. I think its really cool that they have a hidden zipper pocket in one of the briefcase grab handle stowing pockets. I also like that it has a zip to open luggage passthrough so you can slide it over the retractable handle on your luggage. I will say with my luggage the fit was very snug, but worked fine. It just takes some work to put it on or take it off of the retractable handle. I also really appreciate that they have a zipper front pocket on this bag for easy access to items that you need while on the go and that there is organization in that pocket as well. The lined internal laptop and tablet pockets are also well thought out. I feel like they didn't miss anything when they designed this case. Its an excellent selection for an every day carry and is small enough to be used as a personal item for a flight. I love this bag!

changing carrying modes is incredibly difficult
1) The bag is not comfortable as a backpack or a shoulder bag. I own 6 other backpacks and this is the first one that feels like the straps are slipping off my shoulders.2) While this bag is certainly more professional looking than most backpacks in briefcase mode, the thickness of the bag makes it really odd to look at.3) The c-clip attachment system is incredibly difficult to use compared to other c-clips. I don't know if it's something subtle with the geometry or stiffness of the material. I can't imagine myself switching carrying modes on the go without some kind of tool.4) Bag has pretty strong chemical smell.Otherwise the bag is good. I like the interior design of the bag. This is a gimmicky bag that I'll use from time to time, but no way I can use this as my daily carry.
