Revelation Astro 5x Barlow
Not a bad Barlow...I have used it on a 8 inch Skywatcher Dobsonian Telescope...I use it when the sky is crystal clear with a 20mm EP and the views are great...anything lower than a 20mm EP and I think you will lose detail and contrast.Product is solid and the optics are OK but dont expect to see a larger clearer image as with a 2x Barlow...3x Barlow would be better...I bought this on a whim but I dont regret it...Product delivered quickly and well packed and I would recommend this product if you have surplus cash...it is not an essential EP but I though 'what the hell, lets see what I get'

A piece of quality
I was a bit reluctant to buy this at first, as no one had reviewed it or left ratings.I took the plunge and when it arrived I was shocked at the quality and also the weight. There's no cheap plastic stuff here. The fitting is 1.25 inch (as stated) so all your 1.25 inch eye pieces will fit.You get a huge 5x magnification to your selected eyepiece, a 4mm mounted into this would really bring the stars and planets up close.Try it out on the moon and view the craters very closely! Also you'll be surprised at how fast the moon moves out of view, faster than you'd think. To summarize then:A 5x to your eyepieces.Quality assembly and parts.Priced very reasonably.UPDATE: This Barlow does not seem to work too well with the Celestron 130EQ scope. More experimentation needed.

Don't buy if your telescope is small
Not suitable for telescopes under 8" diameter - image too faint to focus. On top of that there seems to be an annoying brightness circle in the middle (only visible when you are taking pictures or video) probably caused by a reflection of light from the CMOS/CCD onto the lenses and back which makes it USELESS for astrophotography.
