Looking for a log splitter this proves far more useful and accurate.

Good quality , hard wearing product , good value for money.

For general workshop use, a wide chisel at this price point is good value for money in my view.

I bought this 50mm chisel to help me to make rebates for door hinges, as it should give a nice straight cut. The chisel is very nice, although it's only got its primary bevel edge, so I'll need to hone it at 30° to give a secondary bevel- but this isn't a big problem. The main problem for me is that it was not sold with an edge guard, and it's quite difficult to get a basic guard for a 50mm chisel! The edge is bound to get chipped when the chisel is rattling around in my toolbox, without a guard... Anyway, I managed to cut down the plastic packaging to give me a makeshift edge protector, but this doesn't fit very well and besides, I really would have expected this product to come with a proper guard! I've knocked a star off for this reason. Otherwise, a very nice chisel.

The back of this chisel was very much flatter than I had dared to hope and I had it flat on a bench stone in a few minutes. The final hone left me with a work-ready tool in no time. Very impressed with this

Pretty heavy, very durable

Wow really impressed by this. used straight away on green oak. Kept its sharp edge longer than expected. Wonderful chisel for an even better price.
