Punching bag
This thing holds up well. No leakage, it’s a good value, the tank holds a lot of water. My husband and son punch on this all the time.

Well Built
I bought this so my husband could blow off some steam after work or whenever needed. Neither of us has owned a punching bag before so I do not have anything to compare it to. However, it seems to be well built and durable. It does not get used that often but we have had it for a number of years and it practically still looks like new.I think you could fill the bottom with either water or sand. We choose sand and using a funnel it was not that hard to do. Be sure to clean up any sand or other substrate you spill around this because it can scoot on the floor if you hit it hard enough and potentially cause scratches. It created a few scratches in our laminate floor before we realized what was happening. We did not fill the base 100% with sand because we thought it would end up being way too heavy. Perhaps if we filled it with more sand it would not scoot when he hits it really hard but we wanted to be able to move it without too much of a struggle. As it is it really only scoots if he absolutely wails on it.As far as a punching bag goes I am not sure what else one could want or need. As the listing states the round bottom makes it pretty easy to move around, adjusting the height is not difficult, and it seems very sturdy.

Great bag, but plan on it moving around quite a bit
Bought this bag for my wife to take out her aggression on during medical school, and it serves the purpose. The box it arrived in was beat to pieces, but the bag didn't sustain any damage. Setup took only a couple minutes, but then filling the base with water took a while (just ran a garden hose into the base, easy enough). I love the adjustability of the height, and the bag itself offers a good firmness (not so hard to break your hand, but not too spongy either). My only real complaint (thus four stars vs. five) is that if I use the bag I end up chasing it around the room...an easy jab will only rock the bag, but a solid punch will move it slightly. It's not a deal killer, as it makes for a good workout circling the bag rather than punching from only one area. That being said, we had initially wanted to keep the bag in one corner of the workout area, but that just didn't work...the bag kept bumping up against the wall and was damaging the baseboards.Overall, this is pretty much what I had expected. I knew the bag would move some, just wasn't sure how much. The quality of the bag is good, and it is actually nice being able to move it around fairly easily. We've only had it for a couple of months, so I can't speak to how the bag will old up over the long run (although they have the same bag in the local YMCA, so it must hold up reasonably well).

This is the way to go for practicing your striking techniques at home
I’m 6’-1’ and this raises high enough for my high strikes and kicks and lowers down enough for heal stomps and knee strikes. Sturdy and durable.

It works
It works the way it should. Also the base works with BOB.

Keeps Me Sane
I have been pounding on this bag as hard as I can for years now and it just takes it. All of your frustrations, stress, pretending this is a bully: this bag just TAKES it. Thanks so much for a phenomenal product! I bought this in 2014.April 2020 update: I’m still using and abusing this. It should be noted that I have the base filled with rocks and it is very heavy. I also have fairly grippy mats under it. I’ve been boxing/training off and on for 16 years and my punches certainly shift it, but just an inch or two thanks to the setup. Still loving it and factually will buy this again if I wear it out. I don’t kick or have any particular interest in doing that. I believe there is an XL version that has more coverage with the padding and would be better suited for that.February 2021 update: STILL using this. Constantly boxing, trying new gloves and really pounding on this bag. I tried to zip tie it to the position I like, but the zip ties exploded after a few punches lol. I may put a rod through, may not. It's not much trouble to reposition exactly where I want it.December 2021 update: In transitioning to kickboxing, the padding is finally showing a bit of wear in the middle. Which makes sense. Just a bit of a small fold, yet still in fantastic condition now almost 7 years later. I’ll just keep pounding on it until it dies lolApril 2022: It has finally needed some repairs. The tabs that lodge the back to the post have worn down and are no longer effective. As such, the bag simply falls. After trying a few solutions, I’ve found that drilling a few holes and installing heavy duty drywall anchors and screws has fixed it. I installed four. If they break, I’ll distribute the pressure by adding more. If that fails, I’ll cut the inner post off and instal nuts and bolts. Right back to it!

Love it, very good and durable
I have another Century punching bag just like this, but my other one is old, torn and worn out which is the reason I bought this new one. I love Century punching bags. The base is sturdy and you can really throw hard punches and kicks to get a really good feel of your punches and kicks because the material is very durable. My 1st bag, I filled with water which is great. This new one, I filled with sand (just 100 lbs. at $7 per 50 lb. bag at Home Depot) and it's sturdy enough to stay in place. Filling with sand is a pain, but this one is staying indoors in my house gym room, so sand is better if using it indoor on 2nd floor.
