Amazon Brand – Stone & Beam Square Lauren Down Filled Oversized Ottoman with Hardwood Frame, Nylon, 46.5"W, Slate

Love it! I am a regular Amazon shopper and truly rely on the reviews of others when making a decision to purchase an item sight unseen, ESPECIALLY when that item is a piece of furniture or clothing, which I think is very important to "test out". With Amazon offering 30 days to try it out and free pickup and return if you don't like it, I figured we had nothing to lose, except for the hassle of the return process. I have purchased Amazon brands in the past for bedding and other home goods and was very pleased with the quality and value, so I took the leap of faith. Here is an itemized list of what I feel is most important to know. 1) The size... I know other reviewers have said it but this ottoman is HUGE! Just shy of 4 feet square. For us, this is perfect. We can have our feet up and both our dogs can be on it at the same time and not take any precious couch real estate. Just please understand, this thing is massive when comparing to your typical ottoman, although for us, that was a very welcome thing. 2) The fabric feels very soft, very durable, and truly does seem to resist pet hair and stains. We ordered a sample fabric swatch for $.50 prior to ordering and actually rubbed it on our dogs and not a single hair stuck. So far, this thing has require very minimal effort to clean. 3) The ottoman base and the cushion are separate pieces, which makes moving it in AND cleaning an absolute breeze. The top cushion section has a removable cover which is truly amazing for an item designed to hold feet, shoes, etc. Very welcomed surprise for us. 4) The color is very nice. It looks a little darker than the pictures appears online which is exactly what we were hoping for. 5) As far as "comfort" for the ottoman, it is very pleasant for your legs and feet but I would rate it on the middle of the firm/soft scale, where Amazon rates is as one notch from the softest. It definite has some stiff support under the initial layer of softness. All said, we had the ottoman for about 4 hours before I hopped on the Amazon app and ordered the matching sofa ;)

MASSIVE. Not large or big, MASSIVE. Please don’t purchase this without checking the measurements of your space and the measurements of this ottoman and make reeeeeeaaaalllllly sure it fits because this thing is waaaaaaay bigger than anyone would reasonably expect. HOWEVER, it’s the BEST!!!! The leather feels and looks way more quality in person than in the photos online and it will 100% age nicely as the leather gets broken in with use. The ottoman is sturdy and solid and yet also comfortable. I wish I could also get the couch but I just purchased a new couch not that long ago… but once I go to replace my couch, I’ll be checking back here for sure. Now go get out your tape measures!

I purchased the cognac leather Stone and Beam ottoman. The leather is good quality and the cognac color was everything I’d hoped it would be. Not yellow, not pumpkin, just a true rich cognac leather. This is a substantial ottoman, the wooden legs came already assembled, we just had to remove the protective packing materials from the box and 2 smaller adults easily maneuvered this items up a flight of 12 stairs to the room in our household we chose for it. We do have more 30’s depression era front door and stairwell dimensions that are slightly more narrow by 1-3inches in width than doors and stairwells more common today, so I had some initial concerns staring at the large box on our porch for whether we would even be able to get this gorgeous ottoman through our exterior door and carry it upstairs without damaging the leather upholstery, wooden legs, and/or our white freshly painted walls, but there was just enough room to get the job done without damage to the walls or furniture. Also, it’s notable that the top ottoman cushion you see in stock photos is 100% removable which can be helpful for cleaning and re-arranging furniture around a room. Overall, I absolutely love this piece, and would love to purchase a matching leather loveseat or sofa by Stone and Beam if the price is brought done in a sale to fit my budget at some point.

This thing is HUGE!!! I was going to purchase a sectional couch but with the size of this ottoman it can be added to a regular couch and have the same effect. I am happy with the purchase.

I have a 6, 4 and 1 yr old, I cannot say enough good things about this couch and love seat! They look great just like the pictures! Comfortable and snuggly with just the right amount of give but cushions are also a little firm so they hold their shape. You can unzip the cushions if you want to wash them, but we havent needed to yet. We have lots of family movie nights- popcorn and drinks, even smoothies have been dumped on it and everything wipes off with just a wet microfiber rag! My son had a scrape on his knee and blood got on the couch, wiped right off! IMO best couch ever! -update! My kids are now 8 6 and 3.... second picture is the couch today! Been theu more spills amd food stuck on it then anyone cares to know! Still the best couch ever. Today I also braved taking off the covers and actually washing them in the washing machine and drying on low heat and it worked so good!

I decided to write a review and include pictures because the reviews really helped me in making the decision to purchase the ottoman in cognac. It is massive, but exactly what I was looking for to fill a larger space in between my couch and chairs. It’s good quality, soft, but still a little stiff leather. I am 5’7”, 130 lbs, and I could use the ottoman as a bed! It was packaged and delivered professionally with care, no flaws discovered. It has a yellow/orange undertone, but it pairs beautifully with mixed woods and materials, I don’t like too matchy-matchy. It’s a great alternative to a coffee table and adds additional seating. I recommend it.

We love our new ottoman and matching couch - they’re HUGE and so comfy! Excellent quality, durable, and surprisingly lightweight to move. Couldn’t be happier! I do want to mention that I purchased three memory foam pillows to run along the back of the seating cushions, as there was a bit of a dip. Once we added that subtle lift, the couch was perfect! (These pillows were perfect for beneath the seating cushions: Bluewave Bedding Ultra Slim Gel Memory Foam Pillow for Stomach and Back Sleepers - Thin, Flat Design for Cervical Neck Alignment and Deeper Sleep (2.75-Inches Height, Full Pillow Shape, Standard Size)

Well it is large! It took up a large chunk of my living room but I love it. It’s spacious I can fit on here with two large dogs. It’s thick quality leather that doesn’t scratch easy even with my pets jumping on it. It doesn’t have a strong smell and it arrived fully assembled. Really glad I scored this for $300 a couple of weeks ago! I would recommend.
