Update.... Fanally, after five years of reliable use the mixer has failed. It leaks badly from the bottom of the mixer bar. As we have had the use of this for five years, almost to the date, it is very good value. At just over £30 it works out at close to £6 per year or just over 10p per week to buy this. Although I am tempted to replace the one that has finally failed with the same product, this one, I have been searching for something similar but can't find anything. So, it quite likely that we will be using the same product again, which I don't mind. As I metnioned in the original review, the jubilee clips need to be tightened soon after installation but throughout the five years I have had to retighten the clips at least once per year and at least three times over the five years I have had to remove the bar completely and refit it again, due to leaks around the taps. It's not a big deal and is only a short few minutes to complete but it would be good if this product was improved so that users don't have to keep messing with it. I am still recommending this as it has lasted a good five years but if I find something better I will obviously buy that product It was difficult to conclude but I finally decided that this product deserves 5*. The issue is as other reviwers have pointed out, it tends to leak at the tap attachment, when first installed. However, there is a simple solution and it doesn't require tape as some have suggested. Simply follow the instructions and install the product. Run both taps and it is likely to show a leak at one of them. Leave it for a hour or two then retighten the jubilee clips. I don't know why this happens but the jubilee clips tend to have more give when they have settled. Once I retightened the clips, there is no leakage whatsoever. So, don't be put off by reviews that highlight the leakage as a problem as it isn't a problem due to it being easily resolved. One of the best things I like about this shower hose is that it can withstand my water pressure, which is extremely high. It makes for a great shower due to both the pressure and the fact that this product can handle it. The system is easy to install and only takes a few short minutes. The one negative thing I find, which is possibly just my own opinion and that is the shower head. For some reason I find modern, plastic, shower heads to be ugly looking. They tend to be bulky and cheap looking. Setting that aside though, the shower head does the job it's intended to do so I can't really score the whole product down because of my own aesthetic preferences. I do recommend this product highly as once the leakage is sorted it is a great product and comes at a good price thus good value for money.

I've owned several of these over the years as I live in a house that I can't install a shower in and I have mobility issues, so a bath is out of the question. These are great bits of kit for people in my situation, but you do have to replace them every few years as the jubilee clips rust and the mixer stops working. They are fiddly to fit, but once fitted properly they work as well as any shower I've ever had. They don't fly off the taps because of the water pressure, unlike the old rubber ones we had when growing up. It's very easy to use, you turn the taps on, flip the switch and its instantly running. I find it's easier to turn the taps off to turn off rather than to try and fight the pressure to flip the switch back, I'm always wary that it will break. I've never had the switch break, but I do feel it could be a possibility. I've replaced the shower head to a wider one as I like a decent spray, but that's just personal preference. If you're in a situation that you want a shower, but can install one then I would say, buy one of these. You get 3 or 4 years worth of regular use out of them before you get issues with the jubilee clips.

This was fantastic ... for three months. I found it really easy to fit, and you do need to give the screws a bit of welly to make the seal tight. It worked exceedingly well and gives a great shower, especially if you have good water pressure. And I think that may have been the problem in my case, I'm not sure. In any event, after three months, it started springing a leak on the hot tap, and no matter what I did, I couldn't stop it. When I took the unit off the taps, the rubber seal around the hot tap was warped, so I think that, over time, the hot water messes with the rubber seal and makes it unworkable. Unfortunate, because it was good while it lasted. I think this would be a very good option for putting onto taps where you're using it for occasional use only, like in a guest bathroom. If you're using it every day, though, it may not last as long as you'd like.

So I left this late to review, thought I'd give it a proper run and see how it goes. I am impressed overall. While awkward to fit 100% right on my tap at first, once on I've had zero issues. Used daily for the last 5 or 6 months and very happy with my purchase. I can recommend it. Water pressure *obviously based on the pressure of your taps* has been good and no issues there. I think the only small let downs for me, is I'm a touch tall, would be better if slightly taller bit it is more than for purpose. The other thing is the shower head, I prefer the ones with the ability to switch to a jet mode. This is a standard 1 setting and that'll do you type thing. But again, it works.
