Review: Exquisite book - remarkable! - This book is truly a wonderful work of art! My 5yr old daughter is autistic and currently obsessed with Leonardo Da Vinci, and particularly his machines. She's spent 2 separate hours today, studying this book, and working out how all the parts move. We all know Da Vinci was a genius, but I also think this author is, as his pop up illustrations are the best I've seen, most with moving parts which add another layer of interest. They are intricate, and delicate, so wouldn't stand up to grabbing children, but luckily my daughter is extremely careful, and I'm confident she can handle this book on her own. Beautifully presented and exquisitely made
This is a beautiful book that is, in my opinion far too nice for a younger child as the 'pop up' drawings are exquisite but easily damaged. One has to really turn the pages with care but the resulting display is amazing in detail and presentation. I actually bought this book for myself after seeing one that was bought for my grandson. The world that is ~Leonardo da Vinci's mind is superb and brought to life within the pages of this book. Good Value and Recommended

Lovely quality with lots of nice little reveals. The pop up element is fantastic of you like this sort of thing which I do. Very impressive craftsmanship.

Worth it.
I had long wanted to buy this book for my grandchildren. I've finally done it. Too bad it has taken more than 10 days to arrive, even though I am Premium. But the wait has been worth it.

Beautifully constructed
A lovely little book, with the most phenomenal pop-ups and inserts tucked away. Have stood it up, opened, on the bookshelf as it’s too beautiful to be closed!

It's a very beautiful book, with amazing pop-ups. Just one remark: near the spine on the back and front cover on each side, there is a fragile narrow band of paper attached to the spine, this can tear easily. This should be reinforced.

This is an absolutely wonderful, beautifully designed book that captures the creative and curious spirit of Leonardo da Vinci. The design visually reflects his handwritten notebooks, and the content gives a brief overview of his most famous inventions. Being a pop-up book, of course, the paper engineering is at the front of it all. As a fan of pop-up books, I can honestly say that the paper engineering in this book is some of the most genial I've ever come across, hands down.
