Major Upgrade Over Version 1 – Impressive Quality and Smart Features
I recently upgraded to the Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch Deadbolt (Oil Rubbed Bronze) and couldn’t be more pleased. This model is a significant improvement over the first generation. Installation was straightforward and took less than 30 minutes with clear instructions and a user-friendly setup process. One of the standout features for me is the fingerprint sensor—fast, accurate, and incredibly convenient. The built-in sensor that automatically closes the door is a brilliant addition and has worked flawlessly so far. It adds both peace of mind and convenience, especially for a busy household. The build quality is excellent and feels premium in every way. Integration with Wi-Fi and the app works seamlessly, making it easy to manage access remotely. It’s rare to find a smart home product that delivers on design, function, and reliability—this one checks all the boxes. Highly recommend this upgrade if you’re looking for a dependable and elegant smart lock solution

Decent hardware, let down by absolute garbage software
I want so badly for this to be a good product. Quick fingerprint access and the ability to give access from afar are game-changers. When it works, it's great. Unfortunately it often doesn't work. We've had it for a year, and I've lost all trust in it: 1. The app will frequently lie about whether the lock is open or locked. (!!!) You have one job! 2. It loses wifi connectivity when everything else in the house is fine, meaning we can't rely on being able to control or check it remotely. 3. I've had it refuse to lock (via the app, or via the external keypad) until I rebooted it by removing the batteries. Thank god it failed unlocked. If it had failed in that state while locked, we'd have had to break into the house. 4. It's decided to complain that the lock is "jammed" (it's not) every time it opens, and no amount of recalibration will convince it otherwise. 5. It can't even update the firmware, timing out on every attempt. TLDR: the software is so bad that it's entirely untrustworthy, and that makes it pretty worthless.

Good
First purchase was not good but the replacement works perfectly. Handle direct sunlight and storms.

Pretty solid so far with some quirks
Pretty easy to install, app and wifi setup was simple. Only complaint is it often drops then immediately reconnects to wifi. I get a few notifications per day. Hasn’t interfered with it working but doesn’t instill confidence. My router is only 15 ft from the lock so not sure why it’s dropping. dropped 1 star. I tried to add our housecleaner with a single code for both Yale locks one garage one front door via their app, it refuses to do it. It's insisting on using a different code for the two different door locks. They aren't even the same lock, one is a bolt, the other is a regular no bolt lever handle. This is just dumb. Also when I tried to change my owner keypad code it just kept failing. it refused to change it no matter what. I had to reset the entire system including my wifes access. Just a really flakey system IMO. We'll deal with it for now as it's all installed but I wouldn't buy it again.

Works well. Finger placement is a challenge
Must be very precise how you place your finger. Sometimes it times out if fails too many times, but can open with the app easily. We were in Mexico and I could open the door remotely for our housekeeper.

Do not dare to buy this. Constantly disconnects, discharges in 90 days
See Yale and Google Nest built the original smart lock with know keys. We have that at our primary home. They are 10 years old and work flawlessly. Single bridge multiple locks they last about a year of heavy use. This Yale locks #1 fingerprint cannot be red most of the time. The location is small and overprinted with text. That must be super for detection. #2 the Yale lock discharges in 90 days when using WiFi that is built in. The locks can be connected to external hub but just one at a time. So 3 lock 3 ugly hubs. #3 Yale has a hub plus but does not sell it in the U.S. This is 10 years after it did collab with Nest and Google. How terrible you have to be at your jobs to put out products like this. Will have to junk them all and spend 650 again or 900 on different setup.

Nice Smart Lock
The fingerprint reader can be sensitive if your finger is wet. Get for kids and guests. No more worrying about the kids losing a key. Installation and WIFI set up was easy. Glad I mase the change.

Dejo de funcionar a los 4 meses
No es como la nest yale, esa si es buena, tras la separación de nest la interfaz es mala, pero lo peor es que ya no se cierra sola aunque la calibres...
