Solid construction
The PowGrow PV Combiner Box is very well-made and durable. I always look for features such as ample inner spacing for components and connections. These are more expensive but also easier to maintain/or upgrade. They allow for better heat dissipation. Metal is just my personal choice, although some of the PEP types are quality units but just not as good as the steel especially when it comes to a truly solid surface mount. PowGrow has weather strip, tight closure with robust latch and hinges.

Meets my needs
Probably the nicest combiner box available on Amazon. Steel construction/ very solid with an excellent door seal and locking latch. Heavy gage wiring with fuses and breaker that will likely suit most needs. It’s already set up for proper grounding as well.
