Gikfun 12V Adjustable Peristaltic Dosing Pump Liquid Metering Pump with Adapter for Aquarium Lab Analytical EK1960

I bought this to does All For Reef for my aquarium while I was on vacation, but it worked so well I decided to just keep using it. I have it connected to a digital timer that gives me the ability to set H:M:S, so I turn it on for 13 seconds, twice a day, to get what I need. It's simple, easy to use, and consistent.

Uses it with some printed parts to make a device to empty resin from my 3d printer vat. Works great and I don't have to remove and tilt vat, risking spilling resin.

No idea how this is getting ANY stars. It doesn’t work until you turn the know past 1/2 way. Low speeds are not reliable and it will hang or stop inexplicably at anything less than 80% power so even with a timer you’ll never get reliable dosing. It’s basically a small project box, a simple cheap pump, and an adjustable knob; probably about $10 worth of electronics total.I

Sorry, but this pump didn't work at all, it wouldn't even lift water out of a cup. I tried it in several orientations and with the water supply both above and below the pump itself and I could never get anything out of it but occasional drips. I pre-primed the pump and it still wouldn't pull water up or push water out of the discharge side regardless of motor speed.It was running for about 3 minutes while I was trying to get it to work and motor or pump started to sound very labored. I turned it off and let it sit for a while, then tried it again. The motor turns, the pump sound like it's turning, but it will not pump anything, not even water and not even when it's pre-primed.I notice the product reviews seem to be split between people who say it works and those who say it doesn't. Sadly, I'm in the latter category; I don't know if this is a quality control issue or what but this simply did not work for me.As such, I'm hard-pressed to recommend it but who knows, maybe it'll work perfectly for you. (??)

I ordered this so I can use it as a pump for agar to pump it into my Petri dishes didn't realize how small it was until it got here and it takes about 20 seconds to pump enough fluid to fill a petri dish appropriately I can personally do it way faster using the pour method and honestly the risk of contamin is worth the time saved so I would give it five stars but it wasn't what I was looking for and that might be my fault so have it on three stars right now I'm going to go back and give it four because of that fact alone works great though wonderful not too loud I got a foot switch dead man switch to go with it so I can control when it's on and off very cool very simple construction.
