Wow! Mind blown!
Wish I would've taken pictures but I had no reason to believe this would work as well as it did! Used it on my Mystery Ranch Coulee 25 after it had been sitting in the bottom of my canoe after a week of paddling in the Lousiana swamp. The pack, beige in color, was now speckled with black stuff and a dark brown along most of the bottom. Realistically, I was pretty sure that the pack was just going to have "character stains" but figured I'd give this a shot. The pack is now mostly clean and there is no significant evidence of staining.

Been using this for years!
It works! It's easy enough to use and I always have great results! Here's a hint, if you have a large or cabin style tent, put the cleaner into a small pump sprayer and save you hand from the constant trigger squeezing. Now go clean that tent, you know it needs it.

Not all stars are equal
I have a 6 person, 12x12ft tent with removable fly, for about 10 years now. Been using it less lately but this tent has seen and withstood months of Midwest 110F summer, sunny days, -25F winter, snowy nights, some quite severe thunderstorms (bar tornadoes and hail, I still have common sense) in between, and Iโm yet to see the tent failing or fading. Since it was recommended by a store clerk, I recently decided to give this Nikwax product a try instead of what I commonly use (more below). Got the protector in store but ordered the cleaner off Amazon as it was out of stock from my gear store. The Nikwax cleaner is basically a mild detergent, and the Nikwax protector is carnauba wax. You wet the tent to take away any debris, you spray the cleaner product, you wipe and wash the tent, then spray the protector, wipe it, let it dry for a bit, pack the tent and call it a day. Combining Nikwaxโs cleaner with their water repellent products, it works as expected. I did not see any major difference in properties since applied a few months ago against what I would expect from the previous product Iโve been using. Instructions could be perhaps more indicative for first time users but if you have used any other such products before, you can easily figure out how much to use. The downside is that it adds quite a bit for both one cleaner and one protectants - they arenโt exactly cheap for a single use case: tent maintenance. So if money is not an objection, this is an obvious choice and you wonโt regret. Get it, use it and enjoy a healthy tent: nothing is worse than sleeping under a waterfall. However you may also use something else, which I found slightly more affordable and with a wider use case. One that has the same effect since it is basically the same product: any โwash and shineโ car cleaner product. I buy those to keep my vehicles clean during all seasons, and I use the very same product on my tent. While nylon and paint coating arenโt the same thing, both are plastic based products and therefore oil based, so the car cleaner works the same and offers same protection. So go for the car cleaner product if you want to save money and always have a working solution on hand for more than just your tent.

Great Waterproofing Spray
Steps are easy to follow and works very well! I used it on an old tent of mine, before going out on a weeklong hike, and was very happy with how well it worked in the rain. I would highly recommend this for people looking to breathe new life into their waterproof gear!

This stuff absolutely works.
I was a complete idiot and accidentally sprayed some Deet on my brand new Big Agnes tent, and completely ruined a 6" x 6" patch of the rain fly. Big Agnes customer service recommended this stuff to help re-seal it. Well, it worked like a charm. Spray it on the affected area, leave it for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess. It worked so well, that I ended up waterproofing a small piece of my wood deck in the process. My tent hasn't had an issue with the rain since. Do yourself a favor and buy this stuff with confidence.

Seemed to work well
I got this for my son n law, to clean and waterproof his tents. He claims it got most of the stains out, and worked well to re waterproof it.

Doesn't Clean Very Well
I used this to clean and protect patio furniture covers. It was easy to use but it's cleaning power was minimal. I assume/hope that it's real benefit will be the UV Protection and Water Repelling qualities. I will not purchase this again - it is expensive and doesn't clean.

Must be rinsed off
Works well. Large 8 man guide tent used for 10+ years cleaned up like new. Some really tough stains remained. Required 1/2 contents. Would recommend. Great value.

Worked well on a particular issue of a feline nature!
I had to buy some tent wash because one of my kitties sprayed it after I'd left my brand new fly to dry after a test camp out.... Ugh. 2 applications of this removed the pungent aromas of my furry little friend. I just sprayed it over the whole fly and gave it a bit of a scrubbing with a soft sponge according to the directions and let it dry in a cat proof location! Good as new and never noticed any hint of an odor afterwards, never had to worry about using a harsh enzyme cleaner and risk damaging the waterproofing!

Why is it a spray bottle
I don't get why we're paying extra money for this spray bottle. The soap is viscous enough that it glops out of the bottle without the spray nozzle, and wiggles in your hand. The spray basically flops out uselessly, and then you need to 'spray' for an eternity to get anything out. After that, rubbing with a cloth is easy, and then rinsing is easy. One rinse needed.
