As an RV enthusiast, I’ve come to realize that cabinet space in an RV is like the unicorn of the travel world—rare, magical, and incredibly difficult to find. Seriously, it’s like they designed the cabinets for a mouse, not a human. But then, I discovered this adjustable shelf, and let me tell you, it’s like finding an extra room in my RV that I didn’t know existed!Installing this shelf was ridiculously easy, which is a miracle considering my level of DIY skills (if you ever need someone to break a hammer, I’m your person). Once it was in, I couldn't believe how much more space I had! I suddenly felt like I had a whole new wing of my kitchen. I can now stack my plates, bowls, and—thank you, sweet shelf gods—my Tupperware! No more wrestling with the lids (seriously, do Tupperware lids have a secret society? Why are they always missing?).This adjustable shelf is a game-changer in terms of function, too. It holds up everything I need without collapsing under pressure, unlike my previous attempts at organizing that involved a lot of cursing and kitchenware avalanche incidents. I can store all my spices in neat little rows without worrying that they’ll become part of the Great Spice Landslide of 2023.In short, this shelf turned my RV cabinets from “you’ll never find anything in here” to “wow, I think I might have too much space now” (just kidding, you can never have too much space in an RV). If you’re looking to maximize your cabinet game and save yourself from the daily battle of finding a spoon, buy this shelf. This shelf is super easy to put together even if you are not good with tools. Very sturdy and I love that it easily adjusts. Perfect to add that needed space on my sink! Plus it holds so much stuff. Highly recommended.

This product comes unassembled in a flat, cardboard box. One assembled, it is very sturdy. The top is solid, rather than a grill, and the sides are strong.These nice features come at the price of "assembly required."The top has two parts, kindly labeled A and B. The B is slightly smaller than the A, so it slides through a narrow channel under the A. This is what makes the product expandable.There are 4 pairs of screws-and-bolts that hold the sides to the top. One has to thread them through the juncture between the side piece and the top.The bolts are asymmetrical. The tricky part is that for the "A" side, the bolt is oriented one way, and for the "B" side, the bolt is oriented the other way. In the moment, this was not immediately obvious, but with focus, I did figure it out.It is a nice design, but takes more concentration than I was expecting for an expandable shelf.

The media could not be loaded. I first bought this shelf in October 2023. I bought it two more times in January and August of 2024, and for good reason: THEY'RE AMAZING!! Heavy duty without being bulky or ugly looking. Adjustable height and expandable length too, what's not to love? It can easily hold my Emile Henry bakeware, Pyrex storage bowls, and Fiestaware large bowls and platters with no buckling or bending. Whatever movement you see in the video when I try to "wobble" the shelves is more likely than not my apartment's cabinet not being completely flat/level, not the shelf itself.Comes with everything you need to put it together, which isn't much. Even comes with a hex key, which you probably have dozens of lying around your home (multiple sizes are handy so keep 'em). You may need a buddy to hold down the black pieces/shelves while you tighten the screws, but they aren't too bad after a few rotations. I don't recall the shipping taking long whatsoever, always comes packed nicely too.I will warn against expanding the shelf out to the max limit (as indicated in the instructions) and putting something particularly heavy on it, not sure how it'd hold over time. I assume it'd buckle and your glassware would fall, but that's just an assumption. Just follow the instructions. 😅If I were to wish for one thing? Well maybe a couple of things to improve the versatility of this item... That is to make a version without the "arms" that go a couple inches above the shelf itself, so you could put multiple together and have it be one flat surface to another. That, or a really long one, not sure how sturdy it'd be at that point though lol. Joking aside, maybe also a version without the feet attached on the short side. They probably would need to make the feet bigger, or add another set of legs where one side overlaps the other to extend (so they could be moved accordingly), but it's an idea.I'd buy more but I honestly have no clue where else to put them in my tiny apartment that absolutely needs a heavy duty shelf. Also, the one downside is that they're a tad pricey, for good reason, but not enough to make me hoard them for future use. Either way, I highly recommend URHOMEY's shelf for any type of heavy duty organization in your home.
