Q: Retro gum like clove, black jack ect doesn’t say who made it ? Is this made by Clark’s that made it for years? Does not sound like it?

Clove, Beeman's and Blackjack were all discontinued, but the Gerrit J Verberg Company purchased the rights to all 3 in 2018 and is the current manufacturer. They currently manufacturer this in Morocco. Thanks again! Sincerely, CandyMafia

No it is made in Morocco. I believe Beemans sold their formulas to Gerrit I. Verburg Company out of Fenton, Michigan.

Q: Ok..i want to buy this for a Christmas (i start early) gift so i need the longest expiration date possible. Can this be done? Or what is normal expira

I think that mine had a 2021 on it and I bought it in 2019 for a Christmas too. But as long as it’s not been opened, I think it would last a lot longer. I’ve been told that they only produce this gum every other year but not sure if that’s still the case. We had this when I was in high school back in the 70’s and use to cut off the C and make Love chains. It’s always a great memory when I chew that first piece every Christmas.
