Can this be used as a proton exchange membrane ?

No it cannot because it has a typical molecular weight cutoff of 12,000 to 14,000 MW, which is wat too big to stop a proton.

Can this membrane be auto claved?

I do not recommend that. It is made of regenerated cellulose, and the heat and pressure of an autoclave would deteriorate the material.

demonstration a success

We use this tubing in my science classroom to demonstrate diffusion through a semi-permeable membrane while also talking about dialysis itself. I believe this came from Carolina Biological but, since I'm a Prime member I got it a lot faster with no extra charge.
