BRASSTECH POP-UP LIFT EXTENSION
I installed a bathroom vanity and when I connected the faucet, much to much surprise the lift extension was 2" short. I contacted the maker of the faucet and they said they couldn't help me. I went to a couple plumbing outfits and they said they didn't carry anything that would correct this problem. I did a Google search and was led to Amazon. Much to my surprise, I found this Brasstech product. It was a quality product and rectified my problem. It was expensive, but my other option was to return the bathroom vanity and faucet, which was already installed.

Hard to find anywhere else. Its fairly expensive for what it is, but solves the problem of a too short lift rod.

What choice do we have?
Works, but wildly overpriced for what it is. This is a case of a needing a special part and sellers knowing they have you over a barrel. Seller was in no particular hurry to get it shipped to me either. Bummed.

Way Way Overpriced
Having remodeled our master bath, I found that the lift rod that came with the faucet assembly did not reach far enough back to engage the strip rod due to the design of the sink and the vanity. I had to bend the strip rod every which way in order to connect it to the lift rod. Now of course the drain pop up wont close properly. In my situation, I had no other alternative but to purchase this item. It works for what it is designed for. Still, I cant see the price. $10.00 maybe, but $23.00 ? No way.

This works just as it was intended to, no problems whatsoever! I would definitely purchase it again, but there will be no need!

For the Grohe faucets paired with big sinks
The review title says it all. Unless your bath designer knows the exact limitations of the Grohe fixtures--most happen to be 7 inches or less from the center of the bowl to the center of the faucet--you will need these. Yes, the extension is expensive, but being solid Brass, there is zero flex/bend in them, which keeps the faucet pop-up drain plug working exactly as intended: smooth and solid. If you spend a few hundred on faucets and sinks, this is the only way to remedy it if you figure out the dimensions issues like I did; when the plumber was out of options and everything was calked, glued and screwed.
