Great for Writing
These are really good. You cannot use ordinary markers on a white board. These are clean and clear!

Much better than Expo
These markers are much better than Expo markers. I've used Expo markers for years, because my company stocks them in the office supplies room and because local office supply stores only carry Expo. But we needed an extra white board in our hallway and didn't have time to wait for budget approval so some folks ordered one out of pocket and got some of these EnduraGlide markers. I'm astonished by EnduraGlides, compared to Expo markers: 1. The cap actually snaps on the end and stays in place (much better than the Expo pressure fit with fragile little fins). 2. You can actually see how much ink is left, and you can tell whether it *should* be failing to write, or just crapped out before its time. 3. The colors are bold and the ink flows freely (just the right amount, not too much). 4. The ink doesn't dry out when you leave the cap off for a few seconds (*sigh at Expo*). So far in two weeks of frequent usage I haven't seen the ink dry out ever with the Quartet EnduraGlide markers. It's so nice not having your train of thought interrupted every few minutes by yet another round of mortal combat with a cranky pen.

The Perfect Marker
Best markers ever for a whiteboard! They are the only brand I buy.

Sadly, still not as bold as Expo
I bought the quarter chisel tip for clear glass writing. The EnduraGlide markers had cool design, fat chisel tip/ line, and decent bold color. My criticism is that it loses its "boldness" when the ink is 1/4 remaining. Throughout, the color was not as bold as the expo marker on clear glass. It's an ok dry erase marker if you're looking for an alternative to the big brands.

You Know You're a Teacher When...
...you rave about school supplies such as dry erase markers. I really cannot express how much I have come to rely on the Quartet brand of markers during my teaching experiences. I give them away to teacher friends. I find myself saying, "Wow, these are so great!" in front of my students. I know it makes me an utter loser by some people's standards, but these really are fantastic dry-erase markers. They last a decent amount of time, the writing is smooth and flawless on almost any dry-erase surface (granted that I haven't tried EVERY surface), and the black is a solid contrast that makes it easy for people (especially students who would say anything to avoid taking notes) to read. One box of these lasted me an entire school year, and then some. The quartet brand dry-erase marker has never failed me.

My favorite dry-erase markers
I've gone through many different brands of dry-erase markers. These Quartets are the best I've used. I use my large whiteboard every day at work to draw out sketches and comps. Consistent dark lines are important to me. Other brands have inconsistent lines after a few weeks of use. The Quartets deliver. Other reviews mention these have faded color. This is somewhat true for the first five minutes of use, but once the color saturates into the tip, it stays nice and dark. I've never had any problems erasing my drawings. I use a white board cleaner spray and I get a clean white board every time. With daily use for several months now, my Quartets have not let me down.

Best for board life!
You will never have to clean your board with any kind of solvent or detergent with Quartet marker. They will always come up cleanly and without leaving ghost letters (unless the inkwell is empty - if you have to swipe your eraser more than once, toss that one) only a thin, black dust. Once every few weeks I will wipe my board and eraser felt with a clean, dry paper towel and all the dust falls off. Board is like new every time. I use my board every day for 2-2.5 hours and I have had it for years. With Quartets I never have to use a product to clean my board. The more product you use, the quicker the film protecting the board from the ink degrades, reducing the life of the board. If you want your board to last FOREVER, Quartet is your brand!

Pricey.
I feel the markers are expensive for the amount of time that they last. I use these everyday at work to fill out a statistic board every hour and I get about 2 weeks out of each marker. I am not writing paragraphs either, we are talking about eight different boxes over a ten hour period which I write a number count into and the counts aren't any larger than double digits. Also the green markers write very light and can be hard to read so I don't use those at all.
