Well made inspection light.
I purchased two of the Coast flashlights over three years ago, and they have proven to be indispensable tools for both general use and professional tasks. The compact and lightweight design of these flashlights makes them incredibly convenient to carry around, easily fitting into a work shirt or pants pocket. One of the standout features is their versatility in various situations, especially for inspecting dark areas at my job. Whether I need a reliable light source for routine tasks or more specialized applications, these flashlights have consistently delivered. The inspection beam provides clarity in even the darkest environments. The durability of these flashlights is another aspect that has left a lasting impression. Having owned several Coast flashlights, I can attest to their consistent build quality. These flashlights have endured regular use and occasional bumps without showing any signs of wear or performance degradation. The overall craftsmanship of Coast flashlights is commendable, and this model is no exception. The attention to detail, robust construction, and reliable performance make it a worthwhile investment. Given my positive experiences with this particular model, I have confidence in the brand's commitment to producing high-quality products. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Coast flashlight for anyone in need of a dependable inspection lighting solution. Its small size and durability, make it an excellent choice for both everyday use and professional applications. Without a doubt, I will choose this model again when the need arises.

Excellent inspection light
This is a compact inspection light that provides enough lumination to see fine details without oversaturating the subject. I have a many powerful handheld flashlights, but they are often too powerful for fine inspection, where you may want to look for subtle details or minute cracks, etc. This light is perfect for this use case. I've lended it to plumbers, electricians, and IT techs, and in each of those cases, they've indicated that they would be adding this inspection light to their toolkits.

Great Quality, Highly Recommend, but INCORRECT Description**
Wow, this is a really great flashlight! I'm very pleased I purchased it. Actually I purchased it here from Amazon 5 years ago and it's still working great and beaming strong! I would definitely recommend this product and it is way worth the price. *UPDATE: Description is incorrect! I have this model penlight and it does NOT use 2-AAA batteries! It uses 1-AAA battery. It does not last 10 hours either. It also is not dual powered and does not use any Coast special rechargeable battery as it would not even fit to begin with. There are no o'rings in the build either so I can't see how it could be rated ipx44. However, even though the description is incorrect, I still like this penlight. It recently died after 8 years & just ordered 2 more of the same model. **UPDATE 2: Received replacement G20 and these DO use 2-AAA batteries & are included. Plus they are Coast batteries (good). Also think I noticed an o'ring in these newer G20's. Since these newer/updated G20 models now accept 2-AAA batteries, the optional special Coast rechargeable battery will now fit & work. Finally I noticed this updated version now comes with a lifetime warranty and new/different packaging.

Very good light
I use this light everyday at work and it hasn’t let me down once. It’s very durable, light weight and it fits perfect in my shirt pocket. I work in the oil and gas industry and this thing gets abused everyday. It’s been raining on, it’s had bread and grime all over it and still works good!!

Great for reading details & light only where you need it
Amazing inspection light! I'm an audio engineer, and this is exactly what I needed for electronics repair, when I'm trying to read tiny circuit components, and for general stage production, when I need subtle lighting to fix something on stage during the middle of a performance without flooding things woth light and being obvious to the crowd!

Ideal light for a doctor
The Coast G20 penlight is ideal for a doc. It has a focused beam, without the dim, distracting, peripheral light often seen with LED flashlights. It's literally spot on. (That term is overused and cliched, in my opinion, but it fits here.) It’s not as bright as others. Lucy the wonder dog wouldn’t want us to use it walking through snow at night in the woods, looking for a place to, well, you know, but it’s perfectly bright for looking down throats, up noses, and in other places where the sun don’t shine. It’s also good for highlighting skin lesions and checking pupillary response. The best parts are that there is no focusing collar and only one light level. Re-doing focus and having to click through multiple light levels drives me crazy. Just turn it on and off. Just use it. That’s a lot less bothersome. You get what you want without having to go through multiple permutations of lumens and beam focus. The perimeter of the beam has a faint blue tint, about 1 mm into the white light, but this does not affect the rest of the beam, which stays white. That worried me at first, as some lights I’ve had with a blue tint tended to wash out the colors I needed to see. With the Coast G20 colors such as red inflamed tissue or red arteries appear true. The beam does not have a large diameter, nor do I want it to. Sold as an inspection light it’s just that. The build is substantial, although I haven’t yet thrown it off any buildings nor run over it with my truck. It has some heft to it but fits well in my shirt pocket without much pull. That only means it's rugged and should last. The red band on the switch end looks cool, too. If you’re a doc, PA, NP, nurse, orderly, or even the lady that dishes out the fried okra in the hospital cafeteria (she might drop her spoon under the counter, you know) you will find this light to be just right. I do. Buy one now so they stay on the market, although one should last a lifetime. We’ll see about that as we use it.

Battery contact comes loose. A LOT.
POSITIVE: Great light for troubleshooting machinery. Or just picking up dog poop on an evening walk without blinding yourself. I love the lack of halo in the beam. It works great for finding problems in hard to reach places. The form factor is also helpful since I can keep it in my side pocket and never notice the weight or size. Just the right amount of brightness to clearly illuminate what I need to see without causing glare and the light lasts forever with regular alkaline or Coast rechargeable batteries. NEGATIVE: The rear cap tends to lose contact with the batteries and requires a tap to reset not that long after opening. This would be 4 stars if it weren't for the fact that often times I'm contorted around hot machinery trying to use this light and the damn beam goes out while I'm trying to watch a mechanical process or see past drifting steam. I've ordered 3 lights so far and all 3 suffer the same issue. 2 of them basically out of the box. If what you're looking at isn't particularly time sensitive then this light is still a bargain and I'm generally a huge fan of Coast products. Especially their rechargeable batteries. Be advised. You might have better luck than me.

Habe mir was besseres erwartet.

Me surpreendi postivivamente, a mesma tem tal versatilidade!
