Perfect 4 Independent elders who have poor balance
If your caretaking for someone who still tries to be independent, even though their balance and abilities are not capable I highly recommend that you buy these pads. They are discreet and accurate to give you just enough time to go and help and ensure they are safe! These pads made it possible for us to care for our grandmother all they up until her final day. Iโm very grateful for this product!

Great product. Great customer support. Highly recommend.
This product was very easy to install and the caregivers loved it because it gave them immediate alert that my dad had gotten out of his chair. The customer happiness officer was the epitome of good customer service helping us to troubleshoot an issue and following up to make sure we were happy. Highly recommend.

Good quality needs separate volume button
This seems to be working great! I just donโt understand why it has to be replaced every year. There has to be a less expensive way to keep my loved one safe. Itโs very easy to set up but the buttons can be confusing to a new userโinstead of hitting stop when it alarms itโs easy to hit the button that lowers the sound of the alarm. It would be nice to have a separate volume button to avoid accidentally changing the alarm from a loud beep to vibrate only. Itโs very sensitive but it has an option to set it for a 2sec delay to avoid beeping when the person is just readjusting in bed. Also, the placement is key to safety: do you want it only when they get up then place it lower to the bottom where the person would sit up, but if they are a fall risk sitting up, place it a little high to their back so when they raise up it alerts the caregiver.

helped me sleep easy
took the stress away because it worked really well and was loud enough to wake you up to aid and assist any elderly you have in your home also with the alarm being free allows you to move it around the house anywhere you happen to be working so you will always know when to move your butt to the room

Gets the job done
Great product. I like the smaller size of the alarm itself and the ability to change it's volume.

Game changer
I am finally getting a decent nights sleep. I am able to rest well knowing that the alarm will sound and wake me up if my mother gets out of bed. She has Alzheimerโs and itโs important that I watch her 24/7. The sound of the alarm is a little annoying, but it is well worth that small irritation. Works great.

Alarm system lets you know when your loved one has left their chair or bed
Review for: "Lunderg Bed Alarm & Chair Alarm System - Wireless Bed Sensor Pad (10โ x 30โ), Chair Sensor Pad & Pager - Chair & Bed Alarms and Fall Prevention for Elderly and Dementia Patients - Full Caregiver Set" This package comes with the Chair pad, Bed pad, Monitor, Instruction manual, Quick setup guide, 4 non-slip adhesives (for the bed pad), 2 "AA" batteries for the monitor, a small Phillips screwdriver, a wall mount for the monitor with both fit-to-shape double-sided tape and 2 screws with 2 anchors, for your choice of mount. There were also three papers in the box: 1 for other accessories such as a call button, one for the warranty and one with information of who to contact for help about the product if you need it. When I first opened the package the pads were quite smelly (like rubber) so I aired them out before using. I found the small screwdriver was too small to drive in the screw for the battery compartment so ended up using a regular sized Phillips screwdriver. I didn't have to unscrew the screw to get into the battery compartment which makes me think screwing that it is the first time the hole is drilled through the plastic which is why it needs more force than the mini screwdriver can offer. Once it's been done once, it should be easier to remove and re-install the second time. To connect the chair pad: Open the snaps on the flap, take out the transmitter and turn it on. Push on the centre of the chair pad to make sure the light is working on the transmitter. Then place the transmitter back into the pouch and close the snaps. Turn on the monitor (after you've installed the batteries) and press "Pair" until the green light comes on, then finish pairing it by pressing the centre of the pad. When someone sits down on it, it will register that there is a weight there and then when they get up, the alarm will sound or vibrate. It says not to tuck in the transmitter but it makes no sense otherwise when putting it on a lazyboy. The flap has to go somewhere and is in the middle of the back of the pad. I don't know how you would put the transmitter "at the back of a chair and let it hang down" because every chair I have, the back of the chair is at the centre. I think the problem is just that it may not transmit as well if it is trapped in the chair. There is a video for these instructions as well, but the only chair it shows on the video is a fold-up type lawnchair. It does say not to put the transmitter where the person sits, as it's quite uncomfortable. I think there would be more flexibility in the location of the transmitter if it was able to be moved farther from the pad, rather than being a part of it. I would recommend putting a chair pad overtop of this pad so it's not uncomfortable to sit on. It is a plastic water-resistant material so may be a bit cold, and makes a crinkle sound when it's moved around on. There is a volume control button on the monitor with 3 options: 1) high volume and vibration 2) low volume and vibration 3) vibration only It also flashes the light to show you which sensor is activated. Press "Stop" on the monitor to shut off the alarm. The bed pad is the same setup as the chair. The Sensor numbers will be in the order they are paired with the monitor (i.e. in my case, Sensor 1 is the chair and Sensor 2 is the bed). Attach the four non-slip stickers to the four corners of the back side of the pad to keep it in place on the bed. The pad goes between the mattress and the fitted sheet. Place it across the width of the bed under where the hips would be. Hang the transmitter over the side of the bed. If the bed is a queen or king size, the pad will just go on one side as far as it reaches. The instructions say to check every day when making the bed that it is still in the correct position. I think this is a good thing to have for an elderly person with dementia who is being cared for. It allows you to know immediately when they have left their chair or bed. However, I find it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting. I would be happier with the price if the call button was also included with the set.

Alerts before falls
This is the second early alam I have purchased. I have been very pleased with the product as it alerts me to when my husband is getting out of bed and thinking of getting up. It leaves me enough time to see that this happens safely without falling. No more trips to emergency or the need to have help getting him up if he should fall.
