Some bugs and flaws but a great cam
Nov 2016: This camera was wonderful, but I have not been able to replace it since the battery died. The company appears to have stopped making it and does not sell the battery separately. I have purchased older ones online, from Amazon and ebay, and they do not work. They appear to be an Australian version and are not connecting to the wifi. So, buyer beware now. I would love it if the company will make this again, but I have not found it yet.My previous review: The camera performs very well, but software app very buggy and I had to do a lot of firmware and software upgrades before it worked. Then it still wouldn't work then suddenly it did, even though I had not changed anything else from day to the next day. It is broadcasting right now without any computer right to Ustream, and I am using a mini ipad to monitor the picture. The picture is excellent-- so clear. I am broadcasting at 720 (Dilliecam on Ustream if you want to see how clear the picture is.) A few things that did not work as expected: the battery power only lasts about 20 mins. Not the 1 1/2 hrs they said it would. I discovered it does not work with Airport but does work with a linksys dual band wireless router just fine. The setup software froze a lot. But once I got it set up it finally seems to be working well.

Good broadcasting machine, but only with a complementary wireless router.
For personal broadcasting, this is a very good device. The HD broadcasting in the specification refers only to a 720p transmission. I was able to successfully broadcast a live wedding event from California; several folks watched it live in the US, India, Bahrain, etc. Looks like it works best when there is minimal interference for wireless communication between the Logitech Broadcaster Wi-Fi webcam and the wireless router. If you are the IT expert in your family, go for it!

As advertised, with a mounting caveat
Once set up with a computer on a particular wireless network, the best part of these cameras is the ability to stream HD Live video (AND have it saved for further viewing and uploading), just by waiting for the green light and then press the button. I have two and switch between them, not seamlessly - there is a blank period on the broadcast - but it WORKS!If you have a computer at webcast time, you can remotely switch between the two as well; the ability to pan and zoom within the image is another great feature. Awesome, actually. The lag time between live at the camera and ustream website viewing is between 20 and 45 seconds, depending upon video resolution and available network bandwidth. My singular complaint, and significant for me, is the instability of the mounting system. There are two knock-offs:1. The black cylinder is the mount (also a protective case, a great feature, but...) that sits on a surface, as shown in the picture. The first problem is a bump either of the surface or the camera mount itself causes the entire thing to fall over because the system is top-heavy (the case (cylinder) is now empty with the camera resting on top). It is very handy, however in a stabile environment; simple and effective.2. The more troubling concern is you would think using a tripod would resolve the problem. Unfortunately that does not help because the camera adheres to the mount using a magnet in the cover of the cylinder. Again, a bump and the camera now falls off the mount and onto the ground. This concern is more dangerous with a tripod because of the associated exposure to falling, (as opposed to toppling over onto a table).

Handsome device ... that doesn't deliver in essential ways
UPDATED: Buying this product was like taking $200 and flushing it down a toilet. I won't say it does not work -- it does work, but only on the very select number of wi-fi networks that permit it. So, for instance, I can use it just fine at home -- but in virtually every out-of-home location (all with excellent wi-fi networks, where my laptop and iphone are easily recognized and where large-file streaming is accomplished seamlessly) this camera is not permitted onto the network. While this is presumably the fault of the rejecting networks and not of the camera, Logitech clearly knows that its camera is essentially incompatible in the marketplace, yet does not warm prospective buyers and users. Since there is no backup USB capability, the camera is largely useless.______________I'm an overly tolerant electronics purchaser who hardly ever (maybe never) returns anything. But I feel totally violated here, and Logitech's support team is brain dead, so this may be a first.Broadcaster set up just fine on my home network. Next day, when I tried connecting at a Marriott (where both my computer and iPhone successfully connected to the network), the camera "couldn't be found."Not sure what value this device has if you can't use it on the road. If my computer connects without a hitch to the Marriott WiFi and to my Verizon WiFi, why can't the camera connect? Logitech's documentation on this is either non-existent or well-hidden and, as I said, Legitech support was no help. And additional problem relates to the device's interaction with Ustream (a big selling point). It appears that when you connect to Ustream, you cannot separately save (to your computer or elsewhere) a copy of whatever you record.
