Best tool in my toolbox
I'm so impressed with the build quality and design of this wire stripper and cutter. Everything about it is good: the feel, handles, the blade, the size of the holes, the labelling. The first wire strip today was a dream - the 2-core wire beautifully cut the casing off, no nicks on the wire, super smooth, with no dragging. A beautiful tool, well worth the money. I've spent a lot more on tools that have turned out to be rubbish. The longetivity is the only aspect I can't be sure about yet, but I'm very confident it will last.

Engineer make great tools
I have a number of tools already from engineer and they are very high quality, certainly up there with German tool makers. The price is ok, they're not cheap, not expensive, but rather they sit in no-mans land really, I drop a star for value purely because I think they have a toe over line. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this, or other engineer tools, everything I have from engineer has worked very well.I'm doing a lot of crimping of JST connectors, and this is involving different gauges of wire and different coatings, some have a silicone coating while others have a more rigid coating, you can see from the pictures that they strip perfectly, and the cut is easy to make and extremely clean. My only real question was why didn't I buy these earlier?I will be buying the other pairs with additional gauges so that I'm covered for all my electronics needs!

It's not cheap but worth every penny
It is a very good quality tool! Not cheap but if you use this, everything is on your skills and not on the tool that is for sure!

Perfect stripper
My wife was going through my browsing history and wondering why I was searching for "strippers". I ordered these in a panic purely to quell any suspicion. But I'm sure glad I did! They're far superior to my usual cheap pair and work superbly on the very small wire gauges I've been using them for (e.g. 28 and 26 AWG). Very sharp and strip perfectly without accidentally removing any copper strands. They're pricey, but you get what you pay for so are worth the extra.

Very good wire cutters but with reservations
These wire cutters are comfortable to use and are very good for pvc or silicone covered wire. However I had less success with some old Teflon wire I had, leaving a sliver of insulation which needed nipping off. My new Alpha wire stripped successfully however.

Strip fine wires for electronics quickly and easily
Just started doing some hobby electronics, and needing some connectors for some recycled components. After struggling with existing strippers just to do a bad job very very slowly, I searched and found these. Within 5 minutes of the strippers being delivered, I started a 13-pin ribbon cable I had given up on yesterday. Within a minute of starting, I had finished, and it was a very clean job. My old strippers just aren't designed for the thin wires you get in electronics - the smallest they can handle are 1mm and 0.75mm, and they tend to stretch the insulation rather than cutting it. With these new ones, options are 0.4, 0.5, 0.65 (the size I needed today), 0.8, 0.95, 1.15 and 1.45. I like the spring so the strippers open themselves ready for the next wire, and the lock to keep them closed in a toolbox, which I guess protects them from getting damaged by other tools. But mostly I liked that they stripped insulation off fairly thin wires quickly and easily, and without damaging the wire itself. I wasn't quite sure about giving 5 stars for value for money considering the price, but they're worth it.
