Better than expected
I wasn’t sure about this, but I took a chance and I’m glad I did. I previously purchased the duetto ATO (twice) and they each lasted about a year or so. Each time the sensor started to leak and I had to get a new one. I was tired of getting new ones for a simple leak that they should have been able to fix as it seems to be a common issue. So I got this one that has a float valve sensor and nothing that’ll break if it water gets in it. It works really well, it has a fail safe sensor as well. For the money and simplicity of it, it’s worth it! It’s quiet and super easy to install!

Functional, but risky..
I purchased 2 units for my marine aquariums about a month ago, but unfortunately had to return them for different reasons. The units do work when setup correctly, but if you don’t have a sump separated from the main display, this is where things get risky. I had an urchin decide to take a ride on the float sensor and flood my space; and effectively my tank with RO water, not only did this potentially damage my flooring, but also almost killed off my marine life from the salinity drop. That’s not necessarily something I fault the manufacturer for, but I’ve seen other brands of ATO units place guards over the float sensors to avoid situations like that, I think this brand could benefit from doing the same on a future model. The other issue is that the junction (unit that sends the fill/stop signal) seemed to be faulty. The solenoid on the unit was audible (can hear it flicking on/off) but the pump wasn’t receiving the signal to fill; which effectively had the opposite effect to my other issue and my salinity crept high enough to unfortunately kill off a few frags of acropora I had (this coral is incredibly sensitive to fluctuating salinity levels amongst other things) - I’m not mad about the experience, things happen, but it would be beneficial for this brand to consider certain revisions/upgrades to their design. Other than that, they do seem to generally function, and are usable if you can accommodate them in your system.

Works very well
Great automatic fill system. Would be nice if it had a few different mount options for rimed and rimless aquariums.
