I got the item nicely packaged and used to back up all my files, left it unused for 6 months, connected it back to copy a file and found it's no longer connecting or being recognised by the laptop. Changed the cases from different manufacturers, but it didn't work. Now I am torn between what to do as my files are all gone, for a company like Western Digital.

Arrived next day. Cloned with nvme enclosure. Easy swap. Booted no problem and works just like the original but seems faster. I would buy again

I struggled with this for a few months before I finally talked to my daughter's tech friend. Turns out Windows 11 didn't recognize the fact that the SSD needed an update to make it compatible. I've had no problems since that issue was resolved. I've used Western Digital drives for over 20 years and this is the first issue I've had with one of their products.
