nice size stones for checking hardness
I have had a Mohs scale for many years. and all the stones are very small. This set the stones are a good size and much easier to use. This is great for a beginner or someone who has been collecting for years to use. It is so much fun to get kids interested in rocks.

Great for learning and or teaching
This kit comes with a great selection of rocks with varying degrees of hardness. My son has always been very interested in these kinds of geologic samples so I got this so he could learn about the different ways to tell what rocks they are by using the Moh's hardness test. He loves it and so do I we even have added so e to our collection here just so we can have more to compare. I'm very happy with this kit and would recommend it for anyone just starting to learn about rocks and their properties.

Great for students!
I recently purchased the Moh's Hardness Kit for my lapidary class, and it has proven to be an excellent tool for identifying stones. As a student, I am still in the learning phase, but I find the kit to be accurate and reliable. It's incredibly helpful to be better prepared for class and have a more hands-on approach to understanding the hardness of different minerals. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.
