Great for home remedies
I bought this to use in a toothpowder recipe I've been making for a few years. While I've bought bentonite from other places, this was my first time ordering from this vendor. The price was unbeatable. The granules were larger than the cosmetic grade clays I've purchased in the past, but a few quick pulses in a spice grinder or food processor does the trick to create the finer consistency. Works great for my purposes and I know it will last me a while. I'll be back for more when it finally runs out!

Love this stuff!
I'm so glad I listened to the reviews, this stuff is awesome. I just received this stuff less than a week ago and have already done 3 masks. The outcome so far...awesome. I see a huge difference in my skin, its glowing, smaller pores and have gotten compliments already. I have tried it two ways, 1) I added about 2 tsp of clay to about 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and about 1 tsp of water and I add a little more water if needed until it becomes a smooth paste (no watery). I applied it onto my face for approx 20 minutes then rinsed with warm water and also used a clean washcloth. Pat dry and then moisturize (I use acne.org moisturiez with a drop of jojoba oil or almond oil) 2) I mixed the clay (1 tbsp heaping) w/about 1tsp of tumeric powder, drizzed some organic honey and water (I eyeballed the water until a smooth thick paste no watery) and applied to clean face. I left it on approx 15-20 minutes and rinsed the same way as the 1st mask. After I patted my face dry I used a little witch hazel to clean off any excess, then I rinsed again and pat skin dry. Then I massaged a drop of almond oil mixed with my acne.org moisturized until it was smooth and absorbed. I don't use too much, as my skin is oily and acne prone. The results were amazing. (I must admit I like the 2nd mask much better and will most like use that one more often). Lifetime problem skin finally gone.

Great for clearing wine
Works like a champ. As a well driller I am very familiar with bentonite. As a drilling mud it will hold back water and sand from the bore hole. Only I could purchase fifty pounds for less than this "FOOD GRADE" mud.

I Use This for my Hair!
I am an African American woman with natural hair and I use this product to make my mud shampoo/ wash. It is grainy (as it states) so I do grind it down some in my mortar and pestle. For the price, it's a great buy! For the use, it's a good product!

am I beautiful yet??
I bought this for a facial cleanser. Years ago I purchased a clay mask that I can't find anymore. This works just as well if not better. A bit messy but a whole lot less expensive. I took about a tablespoon and put it in a small jar with a bit of water then had to add more water, then more water. I wish I had just threw the tablespoon in the jar and fill it up. Once it forms into a ball you just pinch a bit off and smear it on your face. When it dries you are done. Rinse your face several times and put on a good moisturizer. I can't believe how soft and smooth this makes my skin. I have never had a problem with wrinkles so I can't judge whether it is good for that. The mask I was looking for had the bentonite clay in it. My mom and grandma used the mask and at 84 and 97 they had only few small wrinkles. My great aunts and my aunts have more than their share so I don't think it is heredity. I would be careful not to get too much of this stuff in your drain It really swells up. This one pound will probably last me the rest of my life

Not powder.
This is good quality bentonite. However, I feel it is misleading to call this product "powder". It is actually fine granules, about the texture of table salt. It is not a powder (i.e. talc or flour) consistency. I had to run this through a blender for ages to get a fine powder texture that I required and expected.

Great price and really works.
This has saved my son's face from terrible acne. We did not know what to do. My son was suffering from acne that was causing huge boils of infection. We use this on his face 1-2 times a week. He has very oily skin and this helps dry it up and I think it absorbs the bad stuff or toxins. If you have dry skin I would use it more sparingly.
